What a lovely experience!! Johan and Tim, you guys are the best! The attention to detail was amazing! The breakfast was to die for!!! The best of all, park your car and explore the beautiful town of Clarence by foot! Do not forget to pack your golf clubs! The course and club are beautiful!! Hope to see you soon again!!! Xxx

We had a lovely stay in Clarens! The accommodation was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect—peaceful yet close to the town square. Great views and friendly service made it even more enjoyable.

We had an absolutely amazing stay here. Tim and Johan were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The rooms were cozy and clean. We loved the hearty breakfasts and the view from the breakfast area was gorgeous. Highly recommend! Will definitely be back.

Patcham Place is an exquisite little jewel in the Clarens jewel box. Beautifully curated by Tim, giving it that luxury feeling. We had the room with the balcony overlooking the mountain. I think it’s called Sunbird. The smallest but well worth it to be able to sit outside with your tea or sherry. Tim is an excellent cook and provides high quality and creative breakfasts to order which have become the stuff of legend. Our only criticisms were a difficult bathroom sliding door and a shower that was tricky to regulate. No big deal. Situated just one street back from the square and opposite the police station, there is private parking and easy, safe walking round the village which has plenty to offer. Clarens is a good first stop if arriving at Johannesburg as we did. Tim gives good advice for things to do and places to go depending on your circumstances and time. I definitely recommend and wish him well with his plans for extended dining provision.

I stayed at Patcham place at the recommendation of a friend and it was an absolute pleasure. Tim and Johan showered me with warm hospitality, thoughtful conversation, and genuine interest in ensuring I was comfortable. Patcham Place is a sensory experience where no detail is overlooked. The breakfast was an artful display and tasted incredible. The rooms are luxurious, well appointed, and beautifully decorated. I certainly recommend Patcham if you desire a quiet, peaceful, and restful experience that provides you the space to reflect and reset from the busy nature of everyday life. Sincerest thanks to Tim and Johan for creating such a wonderful environment for visitors to Clarens.

Patcham Place is a perfectly situated B&B. Close walking distance to the square and restaurants. Beautiful rooms, classy and refined. Breakfasts outstanding and served in the most beautiful dining area. The hosts are warm and inviting and the personal touches are evident throughout the property.

We stayed at Patcham Place for three nights. The room was quite beautiful with every attention to detail. The location was amazing with breathtaking views from the room of the mountain and a very short walk to the town centre with restaurants and shops. We had a fabulous breakfast every morning with a choice of personalised cooked options. But best of all was our host Tim who was so charming and welcoming.
