East Clare Golf Village

My Christine and I stayed at East Clare golf holiday Village. We were there the first week in August. We had a pet friendly cottage so we brought our border collie with us. On arrival the staff were friendly and helpful. They informed us of lots of ideas for the week ahead. The informed us of lovely places to eat in the area. The house was very clean and spacious. The bed linen was of hotel standard making us very happy and comfortable. Bathrooms were well equipped with toiletries ect. The house was deigned to give each family their own privacy. The double doors in the living room gave us a feeling of indoor / outdoor living, especially in good weather. Our collie had great freedom in a safe gated environment. Happy pet, happy family. We stayed here as a group of 5 families. We each had our own house. The houses are brilliant. Two lovely size bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom. Comfortable beds, linen and towels supplied. Downstairs is another bathroom and living space with Comfortable chairs and sofa and working Tv. They were so easy to deal with and couldnt be more helpful. We ate in Peppers pub, food was delicious and portion sizes generous...Guinness was great too. Just a couple of points for people with young babies...there isnt a bath in the house only showers so if you dont mind using the kitchen sink! Also I brought a black out blind as the rooms can be bright. The bedroom velux windows do have blinds but still bright during the summer months. Location is remote so a car is needed but 5 mins drive will get you to the nearest villages. We visited bunratty castle and its worth a visit, you could spend the whole day there lots to see and do. We went swimming in lough derg at Whitegate beach.
