Grand Hotel Primus - Terme Ptuj - Sava Hotels & Resorts

Every year a week before the main carnival of Ptuj, I stay at this hotel. It is getting better from year to year! The room had everything one expects, specially good was the bed. It is nice to see the same people at reception again, the friendly bar with moderate prices. I had half board, great choice and well cooked breakfast and dinner, good choice of drinks, specially local wine at good price.

In the oldest Slovenian town Ptuj by the Drava River, there is a truly idyllic hotel where I experienced a warm welcome. The hospitable staff made every moment special, and in their bright, spacious, and modern conference rooms, we successfully held a business workshop with 15 participants. The stay at the hotel was excellent—the rooms were well-maintained and clean, the food selection was truly diverse, and the sleep was peaceful without any disturbing noise. The sauna experience was also exceptional, giving the feeling of being in another time and place, with no crowds and very courteous visitors. pool has really warm natural water from the spring near by. I highly recommend the hotel for business purposes as well as for a family getaway.

Preživela sem nepozaben vikend v Grand hotelu Primus. Vsi zaposleni so zelo prijazni in strokovni. Soba je prostorna, čista in s prekrasnim pogledom na zeleno okolico. Hrana je zelo okusna in zadovolji tudi najzahtevnejšega jedca. Savne in bazeni nudijo veliko sprostitve, poskrbljeno je za hidracijo in vitamine. Lokacija hotela je prav tako odlična, z veliko zelenih površin in kolesarskih poti. Do centra Ptuja se je možno sprehoditi ob reki Dravi. Iskreno se zahvaljujem za prekrasen, lep in sproščujoč vikend, kjer se počutim zelo domače. I had an unforgettable weekend at the Grand Hotel Primus. All the staff are very friendly and professional. The room is spacious, clean, and offers a beautiful view of the green surroundings. The food is very delicious and satisfies even the most demanding eater. The saunas and pools provide a lot of relaxation, and hydration and vitamins are well taken care of. The hotel's location is also excellent, with plenty of green areas and cycling paths. It's possible to walk along the Drava River to the center of Ptuj. I sincerely thank you for a wonderful, lovely, and relaxing weekend.

We recently stayed at Grad Hotel Primus in Ptuj for the second time, and while the hotel still has its charms, it's clear that some things have worn down over the years. The biggest issue was the climate control system. It’s surprising that management hasn’t replaced it, considering the long-standing problems. Our superior room was spacious and clean, ideal for a family of four, but the wear and tear were noticeable. The food also seemed to have declined in quality, with less variety and mostly under-seasoned dishes, likely in an attempt to offer healthy options. On a positive note, the front desk staff was wonderful—efficient, friendly, and helpful, especially when we raised concerns about the air conditioning. The hotel pools were enjoyable, and the waterpark area has improved, with two new waterslides and noticeably better cleanliness. The staff at the slides were more attentive than what we’ve seen at other Slovenian waterparks, which was a pleasant surprise. Despite some negatives, Grad Hotel Primus remains a nice spot for a weekend getaway, and we love the beautiful town of Ptuj. However, the lack of regular maintenance and attention to detail in Slovenian thermal resorts is disappointing, and it would be great to see improvements in these areas.

The hotel staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and convenient. The hotel is themed and the interior is perfectly integrated into it. Across the street there is an aquapark with a lot of slides and pools that you can also visit since it is included in the price. A place to which I would return again.

Staying in the hotel was nothing but a pleasure. Upon arriving we were greeted warmly by all the staff. Their teamwork and work ethic is unmatched. Employees go above and beyond for each guest either with providing recommendations or giving directions and tips regarding the stay or trips around the area. The lobby is a nice place for a cup of coffee and great deserts, the food in a restaurant is outstanding with wide variety of food and drinks available. We booked a large suite-apartment with thermal bath, which was quiet, luxorious and impeccably clean. Really outstanding to sit in the balcony in the evening overlooking the illuminated castle of Ptuj! Thermal pools (outdoor and indoor as well as childrens pool) are nice and relaxing. The spa and beauty centre are superb places to take refuge and pamper yourself. The hotel has a nice and warm atmosphere, which is always a pleasure to return to.
