Comfort Inn & Suites Kansas City - Northeast

Having stayed at Comfort Inns & Suites all over the country, I was BITTERLY DISAPPOINTED in the Kansas City NE property. The rugs in the room (#112), were worn, ragged, & FILTHY! Ceilings brown & discolored with water stains. Dirt accumulated in room corners. The desk chair was broken & totally unusable. At least the front desk sent me a replacement the next day, The breakfast was pretty much unpalatable, with a scarce supply of fruit , hard boiled eggs,& off-brand oatmeal & yogurt. Thank God for the Waffle House across the street! I’m a Choice member with many stays experience across the country,and CANNOT understand what gives with this property! If this property is owned a franchisee, corporate needs to inspect this place PRONTO, because this place is far below the usual standards for a Choice hotel.

Honestly, this location has the same level of quality as a motel six. Might as well just stay there and save the extra eighty to one hundred bucks. The only thing I was impressed by was the black out curtains. The room smelled like smoke. Would not recommend.

We stayed at this hotel while passing through Kansas City. The clerk at the desk was helpful and friendly. Our bed was very comfortable and the breakfast choices were excellent. The carpet was not totally cleaned and there were a couple things left on the bathroom floor.

Always a wet floor and a rougher crowd at this hotel. Beds are comfortable and TVs have a lot of channels. The a/c blows cold. There’s a small indoor pool. The heat was on in the dead of summer when we got there. They should put a box around the controls so people can’t play with it.

The 1st night the room we booked was dirty, so they put us in a triple queen room we went in and there was a roach on the door, i took it downstairs and they girl just rolled her eyes like it was normal. The next night we had to leave due to roaches in my daughter's bed. i didnt get an apology or anything. This was the worst hotel i have ever stayed in the breakfast eggs were so salty i couldnt eat them. they allowed this lady to come down and take all the bacon every time they would make new 3 pans just while we were sitting down stairs and all 3 times she took it all before anyone could get to it. The lady at the front desk said i would get a refund of both nights and i have yet to see it i was hung up on when i called to speak to the manager. Pay a little more and stay at the holiday inn or someplace else DONT STAY HERE

My mantra is check in and go check the room before you move your stuff in - clean? Towels? We asked for a handicapped room and got one. Unfortunately the shower was horribly slippery, the shower curtain was too short and when you turned on the shower head, it hit the shower curtain and all over the bathroom floor. Ok that was the only problem with the room. We had a great night’s sleep. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Angel checked us in and was professional and courteous.

The hotel is right next to a very busy highway and I had asked for a room away from it; the young lady at check-in assured me that it was on the quiet side (ask for an even numbered room), but it wasn't. I was rather loud. When I arrived the first thing I saw was an old commercial washing machine at the front door...hmmmm Apparently there is some remodeling going on, since there are signs to please excuse the mess while they are working. Room 323 was spacious with some eclectic furniture (I guess a mix of old and new) and even though it could use vacuuming (one of my pet peeves) the rest was clean. The bed was comfortable. There was no information in the room about anything, other than a rather cryptic "how to use the TV channel guide", which resulted in about a half hour of trial and error of trying to figure it out. Bathroom was well stocked with towels and shampoo, etc. On the bed was a heavy comforter, way too warm for this time of year. I looked into the closet to see pillow scrunched up and a plastic bag with what looked like a blanket; never did touch either. So I had the A/C running all night, which was also needed to keep the traffic noise out. Breakfast was standard fare plus biscuits (stale and the flimsy knife couldn't cut it even after a few minutes of being soaked with sausage gravy), cheese omelets (which I love) and sausage links. There is Wendy's and BK right next door and a huge theme park right across the street, which might explain the overabundance of children in the hotel. The whole place needs some TLC

Nice hotel, clean bed & room, even refrigerator worked & good parking on well lit lot. Breakfast pretty good, good location & safe !!!!!!!! Hotel staff very nice. Recommend this hotel !!!! Booked through *******, check in was smooth no problems.

This is a clean, simple hotel — which is so refreshing honestly. Check-in was seamless! The front desk staff were extremely nice and really paid attention to the little details. I had requested a room on the first floor when I booked a couple of months ago due to my mom having mobility issues. The front desk receptionist confirmed without me even asking that the room would be on the 1st floor. Come to find out, she was able to put us in the closet room to the front desk! So sweet and much appreciated! These are the little things that make me a return customer. She made me feel like she really cared about my mom’s comfort and put effort into making this a good stay. The bed was comfortable and I was very happy with the pillows! The lemonade and cookies at the front lobby were a nice cozy touch. Haven’t stayed at a Comfort Inn in quite a while, but I’ll be happy to do so more in the future!
