Themonies is absolutely perfect for your stay in Folegandros - a gem! The suites are beautifully furnished, pristine & the balcony we had was divine. Lucia was so helpful from start to finish - providing the best recommendations for beaches and restaurants too. Themonies is within walking distance of Chora which is fabulous (less than 5 mins). Folegandros was the most picture perfect island we have visited. Don’t hesitate Folegandros & stay Themonies!

I want to partially blame our traveling at the tail end of the season (October) for the not-so-great experience. My husband and I were on our honeymoon and the last guests to visit, just stayed one night but they made it clear they were closing as soon as we left. The check-in, check-out, all felt a little rushed and unorganized.. we honestly felt unwanted and like an inconvenience. The payment was unclear, in the booking they said environmental tax fee is included in the charge, but then when we got to the hotel they said all tax is paid in-person, so really they didn’t charge us for it. The room was fine, it was private balcony which is nice, but I wouldn’t call any of it luxurious. Breakfast arrived to our room cold. It was fine for our pit stop. Renting a car is suggested for Folegandro- we had a good experience with one by the port.

The best…. So accomodating and friendly. Clean and close to everything. We stayed with our 2 children and out of the 3 islands that we visited…. It was the best by far. So quiet!!! Amazing beaches (we found the port beach great with the kids) and the food in Chora unreal. Themonies breakfast included was brilliant. Themonies highly recommend. Well done …. Aussie family

You will likely never find a host as welcoming and gracious as Lucia ! She made me feel like family.
The rooms were beautiful and having breakfast served on your balcony overlooking the iconic Panagia church is a memory I will never forget.

The room had an espectacular view of the Panaghia a beautiful church and focal point , must be seen if you come to Folegandros , beautiful and magical Island .

My family and I just stayed at Themonies for three nights while visiting Folegandros. Mirka and her entire team were simply the perfect hosts. From our welcome refreshments, to the incredible breakfast (delivered to our suite each morning) to the many wonderful recommendations, our stay was amazing! The place is luxuriously comfortable and I recommend it highly to anyone who wants to experience Folegandros authentically but luxuriously! Amazing!

Themonies is just the opposite of an impersonal hotel, it feels like coming home with luxury. From the homemade welcome lemonade, the delicious breakfast freshly made and served to our balcony on daily basis-meeting GF dietary requirements-to the top brand toiletries, it's all been given the utmost care and attention. The location is perfect in a quiet area, yet 5min away from the beautiful Chora of Folegandros. We loved the traditional architect, the consistent commitment to sustainability, and thoughtfully decorated and extremely comfortable and clean rooms. The spirit of Folegandros is unique - it is a place to renew yourself. In Themonies you have no option but to slow down and get inspired by the beauty of the island! Huge thank you to Nikos. We're looking forward to our return.

Pros: The rooms are nicely designed and simply but attractively appointed. Edwin and Anthony keep the rooms and property spotless. Chora town is about a six minute walk and the bus stop is not quite a ten minute walk. Breakfast is brought to your room. Toiletries are a nice Greek brand. Cons: The views are of Chora town, not of the dramatic water view off the cliffs of town, and there is a distant water view of the port. The farm animals outside are either charming or will wake you up early with their crowing and braying. There is no pool. Our suite had a two-burner stove but no coffee or tea maker or pots to make use of it. When we asked, the owner’s son brought us a pot which we used to boil water for tea we’d bought. The reception area looks a little unloved with crooked pictures and fake flowers. Everything feels ten years old. The cappuccinos at breakfast had maybe a quarter shot of bitter espresso in them. My husband reported the tea was a weak brand too. Overall, this did not feel like a luxury experience.
