Just got home from this great b/b , should be classed as a 5 star hotel. As soon as you walk in you , you see the quality and effort that has been made everywhere , even better when you get to your room great beds and pillows . The ensuite was as good , great quality didn't want to get out of shower under floor heating is a nice bonus . Sleep well every night but.. the best was going down for breakfast everything in the conservatory also of top quality. THEN CAME THE BREAKFAST people have spoken about it but YES the best cooked and plenty of it , enjoyed every day and lots of couse. If you are down this way don't look anywhere else, it's the best I have ever stayed in Thanks again for a great stay. Nic and sue

If you are looking to stay in the Kingsbridge area - look no further! You will find the hosts friendly, helpful and professional, rooms spotlessly clean and very well decorated and a wonderful breakfast - everything you could have wished for was there, all locally sourced & excellently cooked as well as a selection of home made jams and preserves! An absolute pleasure to have stayed there!

This is a great B & B, where we received a warm welcome and enjoyed the most fantastic breakfasts. Plenty of on site parking, large clean rooms/ bathrooms and a perfect location for us. Reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommend and return.

I can’t fault Chillington House at all. Jeanie and Adam make you feel welcome but are not in your face. Locally sourced breakfasts are some of the best I’ve ever had. Rooms are clean and modern but not too fussy, and the whole place is very relaxing. I usually steer clear of B&Bs but this one is top drawer.

This was an excellent place to stay, and the best of a three-centre holiday in Cornwall and Devon. In some respects it exceeded our previous location which was a 4 star hotel near Falmouth Room and bed were clean, large and comfortable. One of the owners was a chef and we had the best breakfasts of our holiday here. Service is friendly and prompt. Breakfast is taken either in a rear room, which doubles as a lounge or in a glazed area on the back of the property. There is even a piano in the former which is playable by request and a fridge which was useful for my diabetic stuff. There is a car park at the side of the property, though only one car space per room letting. Chillington is convenient for many places around, including Kingsbridge itself, Salcombe, Dartmouth. Via ferry you can get to the National Trusts Coleton Fishacre and Greenway, both very interesting. We had restful sleeps each night. Fresh milk is delivered in small flasks to your room each day, and my wife's request for a non dairy milk was no oroblem. The family who run this place take pride in their work and it shows.

Were do I start, this place is like finding a priceless gem. The hosts were lovely, the location is great with plenty of parking. The room took my breath away, I was not expecting what it was like. Large room, decorated beautifully. A large sofa, dressing table, gorgeous bed with enormous fluffy pillows. I honestly slept so well, the best in ages. I wanted to take the bed home with me. The location is very quiet and peaceful. The bathroom was gorgeous, walk in shower, toiletries, and everything was sparkling and spotless. The breakfast choice was great you can order hot food which is made fresh or if you prefer there is a lovely selection of cereals, fruits, toasts and a gorgeous selection of homemade jams. My colleague and I had a lovely stay, she had an equally lovely room. We both said we will be back if work sends us back into the area.

Great location for the South Hams and surrounding areas. Very welcoming, comfortable, large rooms and free parking. Not much in the immediate locality but a couple of pubs within walking distance and it's just next to the bus stop - nice 40 minute ride to Dartmouth or Modbury. Excellent breakfast and our room was very quiet. Would definitely stay again.

We spent 5 nights at Chillington House in a large, extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean room overlooking the garden. Breakfast was such a treat! An amazing spread of delicious fruits, yoghurt, nuts homemade compote, jams and beautifully cooked dishes was available each morning. Jeanne and Adam are delightful hosts and made us feel very welcome in their lovely home. Interesting coastal areas to explore and National Trust homes and gardens to visit provide plenty of activity regardless of the weather. An abundance of wild flowers spilling down banks and meadows and stunning views was just perfect.

Is OK, but rooms next to what I would call a pretty busy road very noisy, room / bed literally metres from significant traffic. It does die down at night, but starts again early morning (and woke me up). This irritated me as I had specifically asked for a quiet room when I booked the room, and was given no choice when I arrived as they were full, even though I was definitely the first person to check in that day (as I had to wait for an hour for the owners to arrive to check me in...). If they had bothered to tell me, I would not have booked there, hence my low rating. Room clean and pleasant (but very noisy from the traffic!). Breakfast excellent. Owners very pleasant and helpful. Is suspect a room not on the road would make the stay very nice indeed.

Stayed here for 5 days. These is a really lovely B&B. Great hosts, Plenty of space and a really excellent breakfast. Chillington is central to the area and its easy to drive or walk out to the coast. We will definitely stay here again if in the area.

Overall Chillington house was an excellent location for walking the South west coastal path ( just 2 miles from Torcross ). The hotel facilities were excellent , there was a huge choice at breakfast , and the staff appeared helpful . However , I was moved from room 7 to room 8 .This room is above the kitchen, near the central heating system , and next to the kitchen extraction unit .There was a regular noise from the near by central heating system all night , as a result not so much sleep !!! AVOID ROOM 8 , but overall a nice hotel .

A great base from which to explore the South Hams. Clean, tidy, welcoming and excellent breakfast. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area and thoroughly recommend it. Easy to find and good parking with local services close by.
