The Horse and Groom Inn

We were attending a wedding nearby at Farbridge, and I booked three rooms for the six of us. Great staff, very helpful on the many times I phoned beforehand and answered my various questions. Very kindly let us get into our rooms early at 1pm as we were leaving for wedding at 2pm. Our room overlooked the beer garden, beautifully furnished, small but had everything we needed. Nice big bed, think it was a superking 6 foot. Hairdryer in room, with kettle, coffee machine, etc. A bottle of body wash/shampoo and a bottle of conditioner in the shower. We didn’t have any issues with noise from the garden as we didn’t get back until after closing. Breakfast on the Sunday morning was very good. Usual offerings, very well presented, and delicious, especially the sausage. Good coffee too. Served by a lovely young lady who was very polite and efficient. Plenty of parking. Would highly recommend. Thankyou for having us

Had a brilliant couple of day’s stay at the Horse & Groom recently, that we had booked for a group of 8 of us. We have been meeting up annually since retiring a few years ago. What’s not to like!!! Great location, a few miles west of Chichester, very central to plenty of attractions and activities - see their website. Chichester itself is a beautiful city with a stunning cathedral and lots else to see and do. Plenty of car parks, Northgate being very handy for town centre and also serves the famous Festival Theatre. Food is absolutely excellent, the rooms very comfortable with great beds, but the thing that really made it special for us was the staff. They were brilliant - everyone from the managers, bar and waitressing staff to room servicing. The Pub itself is very smart and stylish, lots of lovely artworks and paintings that creates a very nice atmosphere ! All this made such a lovely stay for us, big thanks to all the staff…shall be visiting again ! Mel and the gang

The most beautiful little pub and guesthouse! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - from the walks, the amazing dinner, the friendly service - everything was gorgeous. The surrounding area is beautiful and fun to explore. Our dogs had a great time, too.

We stayed overnight after a visit to Chichester Festival Theatre - only 10 minutes away! The welcome was warm and friendly. In the room the bed was comfortable with a large and clean bathroom. Good to have an opening window - though only 6", it was enough to cool the room in the hot weather we have just had. Breakfast was delicious and the very friendly service couldn't have been bettered. Looking forward to our next visit

This place is really excellent. Large rooms with superb shower rooms, very comfortable, spotless, and everything you could think of supplied. I cannot fault it. The breakfast was exceptional, and the staff friendly and helpful..they couldnt do enough. We also booked for dinner: again, good choice, lovely tasty food..the place was packed, but a lovely ambience. This place deserves to do well.

We stayed here for 3 nights as a group of 12 for the Goodwood festival of speed. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us all. Impeccable service. Excellent food and small but delightful rooms with comfortable beds. They even set up a TV so we could all watch the football final together. Going back next year - says it all. Thank you to Adam, Dan and the team.

Another nice BBQ on Sunday...well done team...hope the guys in the kitchen get to see this as the chicken kebabs were great! Steak was good too...cooked just right. Nice friendly atmosphere in the garden as well. Music by James was just right for the occasion
