Holiday Inn CHICAGO O'HARE AREA by IHG

Nice to stay and you can walk to train station easily. Please do not follow google map . It’s far

A decent cheaper option to stay around Chicago. Nice amenities and breakfast options. The staff was friendly!

Great location — very close to the airport, and the subway is right next door, so getting around is easy. There’s a restaurant on the first floor that serves breakfast in the morning, and turns into a bar at night where you can grab a drink or have a casual dinner.

Good hotel and very happy about my trip. Recommend for all when

Very good restaurant and bar downstairs. Close to subway station and very well connected to the city center. But a little bit expensive.

The hotel is clean with daily house keeping which is perfect. The room was facing the main road so even I’m not sensitive to sound still can hear it quite clearly. The hair dryer was missing and the house keeper aware of it when (s)he cleaned the room before we check-in. Kind of strange! 24 hours free shuttle bus to the airport is great. A 10-minute walk from the Blue Line Cumberland Station is quite convenient. It would be very helpful if the hotel could provide walking directions from the station to the hotel. We were lucky to meet two locals early in the morning who guided us safely to the metro station. However, we saw three tourists struggling to cross the busy road and jaywalking to reach the hotel. It’s quite dangerous without any clear signs or directions for guests walking from the metro station. There is no kettle in the room or hot flask on each floor so it’s troublesome to get hot water from the restaurant on ground floor.

The hotel is obviously more aged and rundown compared to the rest of the holiday inn that I have stayed. However it is at least reasonably clean and comfortable to stay in if you are in the chicago area and are looking for a cheaper accommodation. There is a metro station within 10 min walk that can take you to downtown chicago in half an hour time

I booked to stay for just one night between my flights. The airport shuttle was very reliable. I wish I had known that if I requested, they would pick me up at terminal 5, but I walked to terminal 2 without knowing this. Their shuttle service operates 24 hours, every 45 minutes. The hotel is within walking distance to a metro station, so I took a quick trip to downtown. I booked this hotel just for its location and I was not disappointed. One thing, the room is not soundproof. Air conditioner was very loud I ended up turning it off, but the noise from the planes were pretty big as well. I could hear what the couple next door was doing at night very clearly. If you’re traveling with kids, that’s really something you should keep in mind. Also, every time the people next door opened their doors, I could hear them so clearly to the point it sounded like they were opening mine. I feared for my life every time they went in and out of their room. Honestly, that goes away if you wear your earplugs, which I did not have at the time. If this wouldn’t bother you, you’d be more than fine staying here.

Comfortable and clean
