The hotel’s location is decent—central enough to access main areas, though not particularly scenic or lively. The room was quite small, feeling cramped with luggage, and the service was basic (no frills or warm hospitality). A minor but noticeable inconvenience: no complimentary water bottle in the room, which would’ve been appreciated after a day of travel. It’s functional for a one-night stay if you just need a place to sleep, but I wouldn’t recommend it for longer visits. Manage expectations and pack light!

Hotel is very old . Room is very small . Hot water only available from 4pm to next morning 8am. No kettle in the room but there is one hot/cold water dispenser next to the lift. Most likely would try other hotel if I happen to be there again

The decorations create a very festive atmosphere, and the room's environment is within an acceptable range.

simple and decent hotel, stay for 1 night only and very near the train station. very convenient.

it's okay, not dirty. The price is lower when you booked, we tried to walk in but it's expensive, we booked on the spot, we got the room in lower price but they didn't give us toothebrush 😅 and head cap.

It was fine. There's not much choice at Alishan and everything is overpriced. Bear in mind if you have heavy bags, the hotels are down steep steps. Really noisy hotel but that can't be helped with the tour groups coming in and out, especially early morning and evening. Breakfast is at a restaurant about five minutes walk away

Friendly staff. Room was a little unclean, but nothing serious. Located where most other hotels. Breakfast was at another location in a restaurant, but close by. it was typical chinese style breakfast with rice, congee and some vegetarian toppings like cabbage and egg.

Room is decent clean enough, location wise easy to find just is in the middle of that series of hotel so quite a walk especially uphill. They need to charge a surcharge for extra pillow required. Heater will not on if the temperature is more than 8 degrees, so traveller do take note this limitation.

Was worried when we booked this - reviews online are pretty bad. Yes it was very expensive for what it was and we definitely needed ear plugs. But the beds were comfortable and the location perfect. I'd stay there again

It was nice but not so clean. The sink was broken and water is going down the floor instead of the sewage. It has hot shower tho which is very helpful since the temperature in Alishan is very low and cold.

Toilet was not functioning properly. Bathroom exausting fans are very noisy, which affected our sleep badly when the fans next door were left on by other guests.

Location and staff is good, but the room is really old. Also, we can smell cigarette smoke multiple times a day even if all the windows and doors are closed. The smoke is suffocating.

Never seen such a weird hotel in my life for this price. I had already low expectations because of the reviews i read. But when checking in to the room we saw how small the room was. Even the bathroom with the bathtub was like children size. There were leftover clumps of hair on the floor and the floor was partly still wet. On the pillow were also leftover hairs, which felt really disgusting. The room has a window which you can open, but the funny thing is that it doesnt open into the outside air. It opens into a alleyway which you cant enter. They build a new wall for the rooms 2 meters away from the outside wall of the building. I dont know what happened here, but it felt really strange. The bed itself was comfortable, and the location was perfect.  We received 2 coupons for the breakfast, but we didn’t knew we had to walk to other side of town to a restaurant. Also a bit weird in my opinion, but not the biggest problem. We watched the sunset and went up by train on the mountain. And we hiked back into town to the restaurant. Long story short, my low expectations were right and it is definitely not worth 80 euro for a night. Please do a better job. Because you are located in a touristy place doesnt mean you can ask the same amount as every hotel in the area for a shid room! Unless you really want to see the sunset and are traveling on a budget like me. This is the cheapest option and i guess alright for 1 night. But in comparison to the price, this hotel should be ashamed of themselves!

Great hotel in Alishan. Comfy bed. Took a bit of time for the room to heat up but then it was nice and toasty. Had a good shower too. They're happy for you to leave bags before and after checkout.
