Gita's House

We recently stayed at Gita’s for four nights and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were light, airy and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets smelt fresh. There was plenty of hot water in the shower room. Towels were changed every day. The staff were lovely and treated us with great kindness. Breakfast was okay. I unfortunately got quite badly bitten on my back and my eyelid the lovely gentleman gave me some soothing balm for my back to get me through the night. In the morning he arranged for our driver to take us straight to the local pharmacy for some creams. The night market is within walking distance the food there was very good. We also hired a moped which was great! Thank you to you all for a lovely stay.

Absolutely amazing place to stay. We stayed for 3 nights which was enough (for the things to do). The staff were so friendly, it was 10/10 cleanliness, breakfast was lovely, bed was comfy - I don’t have a bad word to say. If we ever come back here we will stay here again! There were also mopeds to hire and push bikes (we hired these to bike around the city to see the blue temple and lots of gardens etc)

Spotless clean. Bed is hard - we enjoyed it. Drinking water available - appreciated. Hairdryer available. We could rent a motorbike here directly. BUT: Thin walls - you hear everything from neighbours and outside. Kettle and safe not available. Partially broken toilet seat, the toilet paper can't go down the toilet which would be OK but the bin for it doesn't have a lid. Little terrace is situated in front of hotel with view to parking lot a few metres away and everyone coming to reception walks passed each room - that means noise and zero privacy plus mosquitos. Breakfast nice and simple but all warmers don't work so eggs etc are cold. This is an ordinary guesthouse without the little extra that would make you want to stay longer. I was disappointed by this choice. Don't understand the reviews I had read, I booked bcs of them.

Ah Gitas house WHAT A TREAT. First thing to say is that the zen energy of this place really is beautiful. A gorgeous little B and B. All the basics you need are provided including bottled water. Really is wonderful. Just some tips - the coffee is instant at breakfast , don't despair though. If you turn right out the gate walk 3 mins you'll find AED slow coffee , another excellent zen vibe coffee stand don't go without your Joe! We were in room 2 so near the entrance , if you sleep light request a room further away from the main gate. You'll hear some activity, didn't bother me though. The house is about a 20 min walk to the night market BUT if you are there for few days only try to get in at Barrab restaurant just down from the market. Exceptional food and only 5 tables so ask your hosts to book. Or face a wait of 30 mins. Combine excursions to the white temple with the Khun Korn waterfall, and do the Blue temple , Black house and golden triangle in one journey if you have a car. First time to Chiang Rai so didn't get to experience things like yoga from the guest house as we only had 4 nights. Honestly its such a beautiful place. Thanks so much!! x

Aspectos Positivos: Alojamiento limpio; tranquilo; los anfitriones muy hospitalarios y serviciales; desayuno simple bajo un menú concreto y cerrado pero muy bueno y con productos frescos. Aspectos Negativos: habitación pequeña para tres personas y no tiene piscina.
