What a lovely place. Beautiful surroundings and superb service and food. When we arrived at the hotel there was a wedding taking place however this did not impact our stay at all. No noise was heard. The service here really set the place apart. It was so refreshing to see teenagers/young adults offering such attentive service and specifically wanted to call this out as too often the younger generation are often given bad press. They are a huge credit to your establishment and I hope you appreciate them. We’ve eaten in many fine dining/Michelin restaurants and the food here definitely competes. Breakfast was lovely, my only feedback to minimise food waste is ask how many sausages/bacon are required as I wrongly assumed it would be one of each and couldn’t eat two of each and felt awful wasting such lovely produce. We booked again for my husbands birthday again next year before even checking out. Couldn’t recommend this place more. Thanks to the whole team for a wonderful stay.

Had 3 nights here with friends. The rooms were immaculate with everything needed for a comfortable stay . Excellent breakfast with all you could wish for. Food very good although the Sunday lunch could have been hotter which was a shame as the quality of food was excellent. Despite there being weddings on 2 of the days we stayed there was no noise disturbance whatsoever . The staff were delightful, very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. A huge asset to the establishment. Location very convenient for sightseeing. Would highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This hotel is beautiful with exceptional attention to detail. Decor throughout is very tasteful. Architecturally pleasing and thoughtfully designed. The Red Lion Restaurant is fabulously appointed with superb food and service. Our room was elegant and comfortable with delightful views. All staff were smartly dressed, courteous and helpful. We will be back next year!

From the minute we arrived, to the minute we left, there was not a single thing about which to complain. We attended a family wedding. The location is beautiful with large gardens and plenty of outside seating. The food was beautifully presented and the flavours did not disappoint. All the staff were very well presented, polite and friendly. We stayed in the Ashover Suite which was immaculate and beautifully presented. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, with products being fresh and locally sourced. I could not fault it.

Went for my sons wedding every thing was amazing great customer service and fantastic room we had a suite with a garden was really big room and garden, would stay again.
