Glen Garth Guest House

This is one of the loveliest guest houses I’ve ever stayed in. Hosts are warm and generous, lovely breakfast, comfy bedrooms (and really they’ve thought of everything). Travel iron in every room hairdryer, make up wipes, tissues, tea and biscuits, a spare blanket, and a comfy bathrobe. Beds are comfy, with a lovely heavy duvet and full feeling pillows. They even recommended a running route for me. Also, as a side note, external bathroom is not a downgrade but in fact a luxury. I stayed in both rooms with external bathroom (1 and 4) and they could not have been better (especially 4). Stunning bathroom with a great shower and complimentary shampoo/body wash and moisturiser on the basins. I would stay here again for sure if I’m ever back in Chester (actually thinking about planning a trip with my husband just to come back here!). I absolutely would have no notes for this stunning place. My only note is to myself - bring your own conditioner if you like to use that in the shower! Also, if you like dogs, they have the sweetest standard poodle you’ll ever meet.

This is our first visit to the Glen Garth but certainly won't be the last. The hosts Hayley and John were amazing and Hayley's wealth of knowledge was unbelievable, the book they had produced in the bedroom was far beyond anything I expected, the information was super informative more than any I have seen in any 4* hotels!. Our room was perfect on the 2nd floor and a large family room with everything one could want. The breakfasts were, as my husband said 11/10 so what more can I say. The location was a 15 minute walk into Chester City centre however Hoole village is right next door and has restaurants, pubs and shops if you don't fancy the walk. Overall a fabulous 2 night stay in a lovely family run B&B, I would recommend anyone to try this but hope it doesn't become too popular and we can't book in the future. Elaine and Paul Dilsworth

Myself & Kevin stayed here previously in May 2023, and when we decided to marry in December 2024 we couldn’t think of anywhere more perfect than Glen Garth. Hayley & John went above and beyond from start to finish , Hayley made such a great effort with gorgeous little details , and made our stay even more magical. Such a homely feel, nothing was too much trouble , Hayley’s husband John even came to my rescue having forgotten my bridal bouquet. I highly recommend here and will always hold a lovey memory for myself and Kevin.
