Glen Garth Guest House

We're just on the way home from the perfect stay at this wonderful gem. The most ideal central location in the heart of Chester with the quaint hoole high street on your door step. I can't rate the location high enough as you are minutes from the centre and the train station and have so many shops pubs restaurants at your fingertips. Parking was available at the property. The room was cosy spotless clean and beds super comfy. We had everything we needed and more. The breakfast was perfect. The hosts set this guesthouse apart from the rest as they are warm friendly and made us feel right at home. Only wish we could've stayed longer. We will most definitely be back. Anyone looking for a break away I can't recommend this gem enough. Thanks guys x

Myself & Kevin stayed here previously in May 2023, and when we decided to marry in December 2024 we couldn’t think of anywhere more perfect than Glen Garth. Hayley & John went above and beyond from start to finish , Hayley made such a great effort with gorgeous little details , and made our stay even more magical. Such a homely feel, nothing was too much trouble , Hayley’s husband John even came to my rescue having forgotten my bridal bouquet. I highly recommend here and will always hold a lovey memory for myself and Kevin.

Marvellous hotel to stay at Great area and fantastic hosts in John and Hayley always helpful and a great knowledge of places to visit and history of Chester and its surrounding area. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.The area of Hoole is a fantastic area in its own right with everything and anything you need 100 yards away. It is our third time at the Glen Garth a perfect getaway for any couple looking to enjoy a fantastic setting to explore the wonderful city of Chester

A lovely guest house, friendly hosts, clean, comfortable bed, nice area,great breakfast. Thank you!! Visited local shops and pub, good range, independent real ale pub, coffee shops, restaurants, plus close to town centre. Bus route to zoo. Had a great stay.

We have just returned from Chester staying at the glen garth guest house meeting up with family from Australia what an excellent experience we booked Dircet by ringing the guest house up and speaking to Hayley and John we got parking included in our package, the guest house is absolutely amazing spotlessly clean inside and out everything was provided for our stay in the room we had our own private bathroom tea coffee and biscuits I loved the fact that that there was also face wipes provided for you to remove makeup there’s also an iron and small ironing board along with a hairdryer also a fan if to hot and extra blankets if needed we both slept really well the pillows was excellent breakfast wow it was all freshly cooked to order and it was simply delicious there was tea coffee fruit juice yogurt cereal fruit lovely jams marmalade we would like to thank John and Hayley for everything and we loved reading the family ethos of your guest house we can very very highly recommend staying hear you definitely won’t be disappointed 😘😘 Thanks Hayley and John hopefully see you guys again 😘

We enjoyed a wonderful 4-night stay at Glen Garth Guest House. Hayley and John did everything possible to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The house was charming and the breakfasts amazing. Hayley provided us with great information to explore Chester-a real gem! The location was perfect: an easy walk to the historic area and many great eateries close to the hotel after long days of sight-seeing. I highly recommend Glen Garth Guest House to travels looking for an authentic British experience.
