Hôtel l'Yeuse - Teritoria

After a long day arrived at Chateau L’Yeuse. A beautiful setting with views over the charente river. Our room was cool and really comfortable. Its a lovely place to stay with a large bar, restaurant, veranda with far fetching views and a swimming pool. All good and all lovely… so whats my negatives….. The,place is rather tired and it just needs a bit of money injected into it. Staffing was not good, it took for ever to even find anyone when we wanted an afternoon drink from the bar…reception was often just empty and there was a note on the desk to phone if you wanted someone. As we didnt have connection to france on our mobile that made the request impossible, and luckily a French guest also looking for staff was able to call. The receptionist who did turn up seemed almost surprised to have been called. The view from the veranda is being lost to the trees that need cutting and the path in the grounds walking down towards the river was so overgrown we turned back.. however dinner was superb and delicious and the setting on the veranda was great. I would go back to stay as a stopping off point, but one night is enough.

Fantastic place. The decoration takes some getting used to, but the warmth and friendliness of the reception, the boss and her team are exemplary throughout. Thank you for y a wonderful stay! Great garden, terrace, views. Quiet clean and big rooms.

Wonderful hotel, the staff make feel very special. Rooms are very comfortable and quiet, love the fact that they are all decorated differently. Can’t hear any other guests or any other noises ie.plumbing etc. The food in the restaurant is exceptional with local produce and their own grown vegetables. The chef is very inventive. Just a lovely place to be.

Cadre atypique, offrant calme et sérénité. Par contre , Il est inutile de prendre le massage en duo puisque chacun sera dans une pièce différente.

bonne prestation dans l'ensemble. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Nous recommanderons cet établissement. Personnels compétents et disponibles.
