Grand Bohemian Hotel Charleston, Autograph Collection

The customer service here was horrendous and has literally cost me thousands of dollars. I am and have been a Marriott Titanium Elite member for many years and have not had this experience before at a Marriott property. The valet damaged my car (which we were in the process of selling but now it is worth much less). It has very deep scratches in the back wheel molding. It is too deep to have gone unnoticed so there is a driver on the valet team that intentionally hid this from us. I contacted the hotel with pictures but they just point to the fine print that it is my responsibility to inspect the vehicle. When we drove away they backed it in and stood in front of that wheel so I did not see it. Based on the pictures it looks lie it was driven into a low concrete wall or something like that. The dishonesty of the valet staff is completely unacceptable and I would recommend that you stay somewhere else in Charleston. There are lots of other options (there is another Marriott property on this same street if you like the location).

I’ve never written a review but this stay was so wonderful, we had to! We arrived and were treated amazingly! Valet offered us water and gave us a positive first impression. We have to mention shea who helped us with the car and matt with our bags! They both took great care of us.The room exceeded our expectations! Fortunately for me and mike our room was looking into the guest only gallery: such beautiful and interesting pieces there! Thank you!

The resort is incredible. The staff is amazing and the service impeccable. The rooftop lounge is inviting, the wine tasting is educational and fun. The breakfast cafe is outstanding as well. Every staff member we encountered was courteous, accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay.

Jace demonstrated exceptional professionalism upon arriving at valet, immediately creating a welcoming atmosphere. His attention to detail and dedication to superb guest services made the experience enjoyable. Mat was also a great help when it came to services beyond valet, explained things in the room and made us feel welcomed as well. Only had a short interaction with Walker upon departure, but he was pleasant to work with as well. They all exhibited great customer service skills making the overall experience of a more luxurious stay pleasant.

this property provided excellent service, the automated email communications were addressed immediately. the room was comfortable and the a/c worked as expected. the location of the property made walking to many of the shops/restaurants a an easy 15-20 min walk. the roof top bar was great and the staff at the roof top restaurant/bar were exceptional, everyone there made us feel as if we had been coming there for years and we were all just friends getting back together.

One of the quietest rooms I’ve stayed in recent memory, and I travel weekly on business. Staff is friendly, competent and professional. Lovely appointed details in rooms and throughout the hotel. Focus on artists and wine blending. Fun, boutique feel in center of town. Would return without hesitation.
