Comfort Suites Dulles Airport

This was my first and most likely my very last time staying with a Courtyard. I am calling about my stay and no I do not want a free night I want at least one of my nights refunded back to me. Could not use amenities due to breakfast bar was disgusting, my children’s toes got burned in the pool, there were chemicals for pH balance literally right on the ground with chemicals in it where my 3 year old could have gotten to it, beds tore my back up, the door to the closet had punch holes in it and my door handle wouldn’t work properly and I got locked out my room at one point and you had to jiggle the inside of the door handle for the lock to close for the door to shut completely when leaving the room. I stayed here because the location was close to the set I was working on and the reviews were decent, but I think I will stick with Hilton or Marriott due to this experience.

Despite previous suggestions, when it come to breakfast, they didn't have any option for Vegans, No any type of vegetable milk (oats, soy, cashews, rice)... also there was not fruits or hot water...

Was a comfortable stay.

1. Staff friendly and helpful. 2. Location is good, close to food, grocety and gas; close to highway. 3. Parking not so good. 4. Breakfast- low budget, but typical. 5. They really should monitor room cleaning. Floor had Doritoes on it. Only some visible surfaces cleaned Thankful the bed linen. (I believe) was clean. You don't get extra anything- no sheets towels, but I assume you can ask. The bathroom was clean. That is a plus. But toilet in super low, like it is for kids. Great amenity is it has a micriwave and a fridge. Walls are relatively thin, but it gets quiet once folk settle in- bring ear plugs. This is a 2 star hotel, even for Clarion. I have stayed in many and mostly applaud them for their cleanliness and being a comfortable place, but this one is just eeking by. The parking lot is crumbling, the inside lobby and eating area is okay. Typical. The room I was in has not had a furniture over haul, since the 70s or 80's. The wall paper is peeling, sofa has stains, rug needs cleaning- seriously, as do the walls; if can't redo. Ask for extra towels and sheets to sit on. Thankful they do not allow pets, nor smoking. This is either an example of how a mom and pop business tries to stay a float in tough times and need help keeping up with upgrades, or a miser just trying to keep operating until he/she gets a serious operations violation. I sympathize with former, but not latter. It's sad because, the place has potential. Not trying to be hurtful or mean, but try getting with Anthony Melchiorri. Would not choose to stay again, unless no other option.

Comfort Suites Dulles Airport is in close proximity to the airport. Some negatives about the place. 1) Very Limited parking, we had to circle around quite a few times to find a open parking space, and even that space was very small to fit a SUV into. 2) Rooms and facility are outdated. The rooms were old with carpet, molding, decor, walls, shower and could hear everything through the walls. 3) You have to request room service. We did not know this as the first person overnight who was on staff didn't advise us that a person has to request room service for the room to be cleaned and fresh linen. Positive 1) Breakfast was very good during the stay. 2) Location was approx: 25min to 1 from DC pending the time and day a person departs. Improvements suggested 1) remodeling in the rooms/Bathroom 2) More accessible Parking 3) Make room service standard and NOT upon Request. Thanks for considering in advance.

Charles and Hidee are the best they made sure my stay was the best overall experience!! Needed clean water for my c-pap machine and they made sure I had it! Room I had was really clean, bed was extra comfortable. I would recommend this hotel if your In the area

I had a travel assignment at Inova Fairfax Hospital and I checked in at Comfort Suites, before arriving I've talked to Vanessa on the phone to do an early check in and she was wonderful she made sure my room was ready and she left me water and chocolate in my room as a welcoming gift. Vanessa is a wonderful person always greeting me and my husband every time she sees us, I must say by far that is the best customer service I've endure as a traveling nurse. Thanks so much for letting me stay at such a wonderful Hotel.

Check-in was smooth. But that’s where it all ends. The room (404) needs a serious renovation. The carpet is worn, there was peeling wallpaper, the base of the floor lamp was not cleaned recently, there was paint touch-up marks on the bathroom door, and the ceiling grid in the bathroom was rusted in spots. Having worked hotel maintenance in the past, it’s obvious to me that there is no working preventive maintenance program in place. The bathroom door should have been repainted if the touch-up paint doesn’t match. The TV was just snow on the screen—no programming, which I alerted the front desk about upon departure. The amenities were very cheap, except for the towels. The towels are real nice. But the toilet paper was see-through and the breakfast was seriously lacking. When you have to go to McDonald’s to find better quality food that’s bad. It’s obvious that they’re not spending on the amenities. Also having been a former hotel Executive Housekeeper as well, I can tell that their Executive Housekeeper is not allowed to spend the money on better quality amenities. I’m sure they’re told to keep food costs low. Staff was friendly. Overall, not a good presentation. If this room is indicative of the rest of the property, then their management team doesn’t set high standards. I think I would find another property if I were to come back to VA.
