Grammeno Camping is a perfect choice to spend your vacation in Palaiochora, Chania. It is next to a sandy beach that offers a unique experience of a greek summer. The Camping is organized and clean. The Staff and owner were definitely positive in the service they offered. The place has also a fine bar - restaurant next to the sea that empowers the sense of the greek summer. I definitely recommend the place for couples and family as well.

I’ve always liked this campground. It’s on a beautiful beach with free sunbeds and umbrellas, excellent restaurant on the grounds, lots of friendly cats, clean restrooms, clean showers, and more. The only drawback is that the kitchen doesn’t open until 1:00 pm, so no breakfast available.

Stayed Jul till early Sep & am still sad at leaving. Loved it. Great bay for swimming. V clean facilites. The staff are all lovely - friendly & helpful & a good laugh. V tasty food. Easy taxi or bike ride to pretty Paleochora. Rarely bothered as we we're just so Happy at Camping Grammeno.

Being in the area with a friend who knew the other camping in Palaiohora, we decided to stay here for three nights. We didn't regret it at all!!!! I haven't been camping since 1985 but I felt at home immediately. The two young girls working there, Tonia and Maria, were super friendly, really experienced. Within 5 min we finished with the paperwork, they showed us the empty spots and everything around. Toilets and showers were many, so no waiting, spotless, hot water, toilet paper provided. They have a mini market, a sitting area, some umbrellas and sunbeds for free on the beach in front. It was super windy, really embarrassing and they called us on the phone to let us know that it was possible to spend the night inside a huge room/area.Nice of them!! Two people with our two tents and a car for three nights tax etc included for 90 euros middle of July, I find it ok.

Great camping place. A lot of shadow, the best wi-fi (works even on the beach), toilets are very clean, big freezer “open” for everybody, lady at the reception with smile on her face all the time and total “wikipedia” for all roads and trip around. I fully recommend

We had a great 3 nights stay in one of the tiny homes for 2 people. It was wonderful sitting in the shade on the terrace and just relax and seeing the sea through the trees. The bed was very comfortable, towels and linens where provided. At this time, the kitchen in the house was not equipped, and gas was not connected. We used the public kitchen, you need to bring your own cooking equipment. There is a taverna onsite where you can have food all day, and there are two or three other tarvernas at the beach. The beach is nice and sandy with sunbeds. During our stay in June the site was still quiet which we enjoyed very much. It is a short 5 min drive to the village Paleochora nearby where we wandered through the alleys at night and had wonderful and exceptional dinner at the vegerarian restaurant Third Eye.

It must be a Greek thing. We booked months in advance for a months stay in our motorhome and detailed our request, i.e. type and location of pitch etc. They were very slow to respond to emails and we had to be very patient but the booking was confirmed. When we arrived, Reception was closed and there was no one to meet us. We did find some staff and they had no idea who we were and had not acted upon any of our previous email requests and the dedicated motorhome bays all occupied. If it were not for Chris, an Englishman who understands the concept of good customer relations we would have left. He went above and beyond to get us into a suitable temporary spot with a promise to move into one of the Motorhome Bay's within a few days. Its great here but this campsite must be loosing many potential new customers because they do not understand how to meet customer expectations at point of contact and arrival.

The best camping in Crete. Very clean and the cleaning ladies are very polite. The kitchen, showers and wc are very clean. I will certainly come again. I recommend this camping to everyone. I am really satisfied

De locatie is top, de houten huisjes een drama! Het is een oude vieze stacaravan met hout aan de buitenkant. Wat prima zou zijn als het netjes, schoon en fris zou zijn. Het ontbreekt aan enig confort, geen koffiekopjes, glazen of bestek. Bed is slecht, kortom geen aanrader, tenzij je met je eigen camper gaat, dan is het echt een toplocatie. Wij zouden 3 nachten blijven, maar zijn na 1 nacht vertrokken naar een fris en schoon hotel in Paleochora.
