Klinakis Beach Hotel

After spending too many days in the rain in France, we hopped a flight to Crete with no pre-planning. My husband found this hotel online. We ended up staying for at least five days in two different rooms. This is not a fancy hotel, but it is perfect in many ways. Very friendly and helpful family run hotel. Comfortable beds. Great ocean views. Amazing breakfast. Easy walk to the beach. We are already thinking about a return trip next fall and look forward to staying at Klinakis Beach Hotel.

My friends and I stayed at klinakis beach hotel for 4 nights and we had an amazing stay. The view from the room was spectacular, the staff were friendly and very helpful, breakfast was delightful and even provided for special dietary requirements. The three of us have travelled around the world and have stayed in many places. I must say that the service at this hotel came as a surprise and we honestly feel that it deserves a much higher star rating. Thank you all for making our holiday a memorable one and hope that some day I will return all the way from Australia.

We have enjoyed a week at the Klinakis Beach. The staff are wonderful and cannot do enough for you. The greek breakfast is superb and everything is homemade. The views overlooking the beach are stunning and the area is ideal with lovely restaurants and a 15min stroll into Chania old town. We are sad to leave this beautiful place but we will return with our friends!

Should be rated 5* for welcome, help with any enquiry, staff, breakfast and the bed the most comfortable ever (and I’ve stayed in 5* hotels). Terrific taverna 2 minutes walk, v authentic. Easy walk to Chania, 20 mins at most. Beach access as promised. Views stupendous. Will return and v highly recommend.

This hotel exceeded expectations and is a great value. We booked a superior double with sea-view which was well worth the upgrade. Room was spacious with high ceilings, lots of space to spread out and a balcony looking directly out to the beautiful seaside with beach below. Just sit and watch the sunset while listening to lapping water. Breakfast was a large spread with lots of options, and can be enjoyed either indoors or out. About a 20 minute walk to Chania old town, but walk is along a sea-side boulevard with scenic views all the way. There is also plenty of closer by restaurants and bars. Nea Chora Beaches are in walking distance as well. The beach at the hotel is very small, but would be good for a swim, snorkeling and is kid-friendly but not really a place you’d spend hours. Parking was part of the reason for choosing Klinakis, and was a very wise choice. There is large dirt parking lot right next to the hotel and allows ease for coming and going for day-trips. The hotel is also located on the “outskirts” of Chania and getting here will not involve driving through the small streets of the old port. We noticed tons of hotels/pensions in the harbor-port area and were so glad to be outside of it.
