The couple are very hospitable. The hotel is clean, and the rooms are made up every day. We had a great view of Chania. Tea and coffee on offer all day in the breakfast room. I booked with breakfast. We had a lovely time in Chania. We particularly liked the old town with it's little taverns and shops.

We came across the Akrotiri Hotel on a June Sunday evening when our flight to London Gatwick was postponed for two days. Our hosts warmly checked us in to our rooms at 10pm on arrival from the airport. Like many Crete hotels the hotel is traditionally family run where qualities of being welcomed in and providing local assistance made our flight cancellation fade away for the duration of our stay. The rooms were cleaned to a high standard, with linen changed daily. Breakfast was of good continental standard with local produce and freshly made bread. The balcony area at the front hotel provided lovely views of the Chania seafront. The rear garden had fruit trees and tortoises with the owner showing us having their breakfast. Chania town was a walk down the hill, with plenty of restaurants, available boat trips, beaches and shopping area with some lovely shops. One shop had centuries old building features visible through glass which could have been a museum if it wasn’t a shop.

I would highly recomend this hotel for anyone staying in Chania. The location is perfect, it is nice and quiet and there is a bus stop right outside the hotel. The owners are really kind and helpuful, they make the stay very pleasant. Akrotiri has one of the best views I have ever had at a hotel. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. We will be back!

Hotel stupendo da una vista mozzafiato, i gestori Lena ed Elia due persone eccezionali, molto disponibili che ti consigliano le spiagge più carine. Devo dire che meriterebbe una stella in più per i servizi che offre, lo consiglio per un soggiorno a Chania..

Akrotiri Chania hotel è stata una vera scoperta, una delle tante meravigliose sorprese che ci ha riservato l'isola di Creta. I coniugi proprietari dell'hotel ci hanno accolto come degli amici e non come semplici clienti e hanno fatto il possibile per farci sentire a casa. L'hotel si trova in collina, comodissimo sia al centro città sia all'aeroporto e gode di una vista incantevole sul mare e sulla città di Chania. Le camere sono molto accoglienti, pulitissime, dotate di aria condizionata, wifi e fornite di kit da bagno, pantofole, set per il cucito, accappatoi. All'arrivo, in camera viene fatta trovare una bottiglia di vino di benvenuto e ogni giorno il frigo viene rifornito di una bottiglia di acqua a persona, gratis. Le camere hanno terrazzi molto ampi da cui si godono tramonti meravigliosi in un'atmosfera molto rilassante. A colazione si possono gustare prodotti locali come miele e yogurt, oltre allo squisito ciambellone preparato con molto amore dalla proprietaria. Ottimo rapporto qualità - prezzo. Consigliatissimo!
