Le Vieux Rascard Chambres d'Hotes

B&B Le Vieux Rascard is located on a hill with a beautiful view of both the village and the impressive mountain, about 10-15 minutes walk to the Crest lift. Clean and tidy with cleaning every day. A hearty breakfast buffet with local products is served every morning. Together with the warm and friendly welcome of the helpful hostess Ambra, it makes Le Vieux Rascard a top choice for a stay in Champoluc.

Ambra is the host of Le Vieux Rascard and made us feel very welcome and was also very helpful. She speaks excellent English. The chalet is up the hill and about 10-15 mins walk from the main lift in Champoluc. Ski boots are left in lockers in all the ski hire shops so no need to walk in ski boots. We enjoyed walking up behind the garage through the old village buildings to reach the b&b. Our room was snug, old fashioned, clean and mostly warm enough although the heating seems to be a little unpredictable. We had a large double bed made of two singles, made up with sheets and blankets. We had plenty of wardrobe space. We had views down the valley. The bathroom was basically good - plenty of hot water in the shower. Breakfast was plentiful - ham and cheeses and fresh breads, yoghurts, great coffee and so many different cakes. There is off road free parking too. Back into the parking space if you can so you can roll out in snowy conditions - it’s on a slope!

Le Vieux Rascard è un fantastico hotel gestito magistralmente da una bellissima donna di nome Ambra, mamma di due bellissime ragazze… gestisce questo locale con grande professionalità, gentilezza e amore per la sua professione. Abbiamo fatto delle colazioni indimenticabili e lei ci ha indicato percorsi tutti attorno alla Val Ayax, assolutamente fantastici grazie di tutto Ambra, sicuramente torneremo anche il prossimo anno…!!!
