Sabujer Kole (Bengali for in the lap of greenery) is a Holiday Resort in Gourigaon, a new destination of Chalsa, Dooars. It is the only accommodation in Gourigaon. If you want to have a memorable time with nature and still not be far from town life then Gourigaon should be your destination. Sabujer Kole feels like a small forest on the top of Gourigaon from where you can see the Suntalekhola range from top of the hill. Gourigaon is a small Nepali Village on a small hill called "Upper Chalsa". It is just 1 km from Chalsa, a small popular town in North Bengal and one of the centers of Dooars from where you can visit all over Dooars as per as your plan. It is very close to the Chapramari forest. The villagers here are very simple, peaceful and cooperative and always want to help. There is a Primary School in Gourigaon and a temple, which is very near to the Resort. When you come to this village, you can see, how the villagers farm on the land on the hill. You can watch the activities of the villagers as they go about their daily life. A rail line crosses under the village. This is the lifeline for the local people as it connects Assam and the North-East with the rest of India. A Tourist Hub of Govt. of West Bengal is under construction beside the rail line. Being close to the Forest, elephants regularly come for eating crops and if you are lucky, you may see them in the village road. From Sabujer Kole you can visit Samsing, Suntalekhola, Rocky Island, Laliguras, Murti, Jhalong, Bindu in a very short period. You can visit Garumara, Chapramari and Jaldapara National Park according to your plan. We will make the necessary arrangements for you according to your plan and time.
