We offer almost 2 miles of trails on property for hiking, mountain-biking, or snow-shoeing. Adjacent state natural areas on 3 sides enhance the remote wilderness feeling. The quiet is restorative and the dark nights are perfect for star-gazing. This really might be the place where you pick up a book or a well-maintained ukulele or guitar we provide, or let the hours go by in a hammock on the screened porch. We are known for top-quality comfort, including memory foam mattresses with 100% cotton and down bedding, glass and tile showers with a heated bathroom fan, Jøtul wood stoves inside and fire rings outside with seasoned firewood at the ready, and heating and cooling options that keep you cozy no matter the season. Our wifi is network grade. Our water is sourced from a deep well and filtered. And our kitchens are stocked with everything you need, including a dishwasher, coffee maker, coffee grinder, and local coffee beans. The Lisney Grand Log Cabin is located in S.W. Wisconsin in one of the most scenic parts of the state, commonly referred to as the “Driftless Region”. Imagine relaxing in a large 1,500 sq. ft. Amish built log cabin with a grand wrap-around porch overlooking the Kickapoo Valley Reserve State Park (6,800 acres). You may find yourself sitting on the porch swing with a good book, occasionally interrupted by white tail deer, Sandhill cranes, wild turkeys or bald eagles. There is large backyard for your kids to play in. A grill and fire ring is provided. Local firewood is available for purchase at $20 per wheel barrow.Inside on the first floor is an open floor plan with a cathedral ceiling, and 2 private bedrooms and a full porcelain tile bathroom with tub/shower, sink, toilet and unlimited supply of hot water. The kitchen is fully furnished with all the cooking utensils, pots and pans, dishes, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and modern stove and refrigerator. Just bring your family’s favorite foods. Separate bins are provided for recycling. We are inspected by the State of Wisconsin each year and licensed. We have CO2, and smoke detectors as well as fire extinguishers throughout the cabin.
