Bring a pole and lures and enjoy our abundant small mouth bass or take the canoe and tour the river.River Haven is situated on the northwestern portion of a 200 acre farm named Rivercrest that dates back to an original land grant from the King of England. The original deed granted hundreds of acres to the Moyer/Taylor family who were also distant relatives of our 12th President of the United States , Zachary Taylor. While the Taylors amassed most of their holdings through many local business dealings of the 1800’s, the fertile soil and incredible waterfront beauty of Rivercrest always interested the last heir Everet to farm and cultivate the rich soil and produce abundant crops. In the 1960’s, Mr. Taylor sold roughly an acre of riverfront property to a local businessman and soon after River Haven was born. The previous owners of River Haven upgraded and maintained the waterfront retreat and decided to share its peace, quiet, and solitude with the rest of those looking for a retreat away from the stresses of modern day life. And, to this day, these qualities make River Haven such a unique and incredible property and it invites you to feel like a part of the infamous Shenandoah River like no other can offer. There are no next door neighbors at Antler Ridge Cabin. All you'll see from the spacious front porch are the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. From the back deck, you'll see the Skyline Drive of the Shenandoah National Park. Situated at the edge of 52 acres of pasture and forest, Antler Ridge Cabin is the perfect romantic getaway for 2 in the Shenandoah Valley or a peaceful getaway Sightings of deer, snakes, wild turkeys, or even a bear are possible.... you are in the neck of the woods. Inside the cabin, you will find all the necessities for a comfortable stay. The living room includes a TV with DVD player, sofa, fireplace (but not for use in summer months), full kitchen with microwave, coffee maker, and everything you need to cook that special meal in the kitchen or on the grill out back. Two guests only please. The map only plots our property in Luray...it is 2 miles from Lake Arrowhead on Wintergreen Drive (or State Rd 746). Cozy cabin on 7.5 acres with 3 other cabins with river frontage on the beautiful Shenandoah. Your hot tub is in a private pavilion just around the corner from the cabin. Great mountain views out in the country with lots of stars. Perfect!Plan to relax away from it all! The cabin is out where you can see all the stars at night. Don't forget your eggs and bacon as it is a 17 mile trip back to Luray, and 7 miles are gravel road. So just plan to stay and chill or not--in the hot tub! There is now limited WiFi at the Paddler cabin and very limited at the Drifter and none at the Angler--sorry-- that is shared by both cabins for checking emails, light browsing but no streaming videos. Hughesnet is just not doing a good job. You can walk down to the Paddler and connect but will not make it back up to the Angler.Sprint-T-mobile work but other cell phones might not.The cabin has a queen bed room with a propane stove, the living area has a double bed futon, Direct TV and the mini-kitchen area. The loft has a double bed. We provide pillows and bedspreads but not Linens and Towels which would be extra at $25/bed/visit but we are not renting them during COVID. You will need to bring your own. Pets are $15/pet/night.Below the cabin is a picnic table, fire ring and charcoal grill. Across the 7.5 acre field is the driveway to the river frontage and boat landing (#20). There is a fire pit there too. Great fishing.The cabin is on 7.5 acres along with three other cabins which share the river frontage/landing (#20). Shenandoah River Outfitters uses this private boat landing. Plan to reserve canoe, kayak, raft and tubes trip with us, Shenandoah River Outfitters, for lots of river fun between April and Nov 1st. We have a two-night min stay on weekends, one-night min during the week. (3-nights on holiday weekends) We offer special 4-day mid-week rates and week long rates. Plan a longer stay and explore Luray, Luray Caverns and the Shenandoah National Park--great hiking. Vintage River Cabin is absolutely Amazing. It has all the Old World Charm but modern amenities. It sits at the river's edge and has very easy and convenient access to the town of Luray which is centrally located to all activities such as Skyline Drive hiking, Luray Caverns, canoeing, horseback riding, vineyards in every direction and much more. Of course, this cabin in on the Shenandoah River's edge with a fabulous dock. This authentic 1700’s circa river front log cabin, complete with chinking, antique plank floors throughout, country porches, outside 7 person hot tub, is located just steps into the Shenandoah River from the dock that sits above the Shenandoah River.Views on the river are amazing and across the river are views of the George Washington National Forest.
