The cabin is a great place to stay year-round, as it is close to white water rafting, tubing, kayaking, boating, fishing, swimming and UTV trails in the summer. In the winter you have access to miles of snowmobile trails, lakes for ice fishing, and can go snowshoeing or cross country skiing if you would like. If looking for relaxation, you can spend your time enjoying a campfire in the fire pit roasting s'mores or sitting on the patio overlooking the wildlife that you are sure to encounter. The concrete firepit area has a lean-to with plenty of chairs for seating and there is an overhang above the patio in the event there is rain, so you can still enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Firewood is provided, with the option to purchase more if needed. A gas grill is available for use with propane and grilling utensils.You will be close to several state and county parks, with some featuring waterfalls, and several bars and restaurants. A manual with lots of information is left on the table for your review upon arrival. The manual also includes ATV/UTV/snowmobiling maps for the State of Wisconsin, Oconto County and Marinette County for your review. The cabin is located in Marinette County and all trails intertwine. This newly built, year-round cabin sleeps 4 comfortably; suitable for up to six with a queen-sized sleeper sofa in the living room. There is also room for a blow-up mattress if you would like to bring one with to provide for 8. Everything you need awaits you!! The cabin has a large TV with cable, as well as free Wi-Fi access. The kitchen has supplies for cooking, baking, toasting, microwaving, and coffee making. We also provide several other items, such as coffee, creamer, sugar, salt and pepper and many other items for your use such as a full set of dishes and silverware. So here are a few things to know before you book your stay! If you come across insects, mosquitoes, bugs, or mice, this happens. We do our very best to make sure to control all of this, but sometimes it out of our control. Bring some bug spray and a love for the outdoors, and you will love your stay! Also, the cabin is set on a crawl space, meaning that the cabin itself has an outdoors earthy smell. There is nothing wrong with the cabin, and we do our very best to use things like damp rid to lessen the smell. We have no issues with it, but we want to make sure guests know this before booking! Lastly, we use a well at the cabin and the water where the cabin is set has iron in it. With that being said, you may see a yellow color in the water or the toilet. We have had it inspected and it's fine, but as a service to our guests, we provide a water dispenser with filtered water so that you feel better drinking the water. We love our guests back by consistently aiming to give them the best Vrbo experience possible. We named our property "BEARADISE CABIN". For us it just made sense. We have always considered it to be our little piece of paradise. It is located less than 3 miles north of Pembine on a dead-end road, giving you peaceful, beautiful surroundings. With access to the trail system from our deck, there is plenty of opportunity to drive off-road on/in your ATV/UTV's. In Winter, our trail takes you out to a winter wonderland made for snowmobiling, snowshoeing and even a little winter hike! There is plenty of parking for vehicles and trailers. After riding in summer, there is an outdoor water spicket with hose for washing wheelers after your ride. If you are interested in other sports and fun activities, there is so much to do in the area. Many of our visitors enjoy the numerous waterfalls to visit, swimming, golfing, fishing, white water rafting, kayaking, zip-lining, hiking, ice skating, ice fishing, etc. in the area. If putting your feet up and just relaxing in the warmer seasons is in your future, we have a large deck along with a large firepit. Days can be spent bird watching, reading or even napping. Nights can be spent around the firepit enjoying all that the evening in the northwoods can offer. S'mores fixings provided upon arrival are always a big hit along with star watching. Many comment on how the skies light up with the countless stars that appear when far away from the big cities. Unlimited Firewood is available free of charge! If you come during the colder season, the warmth and crackle of a fire inside the wood stove is so relaxing! If you aren't familiar or comfortable with running the stove, we have a propane heater in the living areas and electric baseboard in the bathroom and bedrooms. Bird watching, reading a good book and napping is again as enjoyable in Winter as all the other seasons. (Birdfeeders are kept filled.) Charcoal and lighter fluid are also provided for our Weber grill. We understand the convenience of what having those two items can bring. Summer brings hot days and nights. The cabin is well air conditioned during those times to make our guests cool and comfortable. Fans are also provided. Faster, more reliable internet and wi-fi has recently been installed. We have Dish TV. Feel like a movie? A DVD player and collection of dvd's are avaiable. Our newly installed well will give you unlimited fresh, clean water along with great water pressure. A spacious rustic cabin with 3 bedrooms & direct access to the mighty Menominee River. Fish from shore for Walleye, Sturgeon, Panfish, & Smallmouth or drop your boat in the River at the launch 1/4 mile away. Take out the canoe or kayaks & soak up the beautiful sights. Close to hiking trails and public land. Just minutes from Wausaukee & Marinette. The cabin sits on almost one and a quarter acres with 180 feet of river frontage on the beautiful Menomonee river. Bring your bug spray and your outdoor gear because this is a place for the outdoor enthusiast that has adventure ingrained in his or her soul. Plenty of wildlife along the banks, hop in the kayaks or the canoe and paddle downstream to an island in the river. Or paddle upstream and float back down while fishing for walleyes, sturgeon, smallmouth, bass, or whatever else the river throws at you. Hang out and fish from shore on our custom-made floating patio :-) right off shore we used a 24 foot pontoon boat to make the perfect hangout spot on the water. It works perfectly for teaching kids how to fish.Sit out at the fire pit and be mesmerized by all of the stars you didn’t know existed. There is a fire pit up by the cabin as well as down on the banks of the river. You certainly feel in the middle of nowhere but it’s only a short drive to Wausaukee and about 20 minutes to Marinette. The public park and boat launch at Bear point is only a quarter mile away. So if you want to bring your own boat, it’s an easy walk back after you launch. Marinette County is also home to 15 waterfalls, take a day to check some of them out and all of the neat spots in between. There are multiple white water rafting guides also a short drive away on the Menomonee River, the Pike River, and also the Peshtigo River. If you’re looking for a real relaxing way to spend a day, grab some tubes and a floating cooler. Our family will float downstream on tubes to the next boat launch, it’s about a 4 mile float to the Menomonee River access downstream. But there are a couple small islands and a ton of beautiful scenery along the way.
