The ground floor offers two bedrooms with a Queen sized bed and a full sized bed. There is also a full bath. The washer and dryer are in the second bedroom for your use.On the main floor, there is a bedroom with a twin to king trundle and a full bathroom. The living room offers a dining table for 4 , a wood-burning stove, TV and access to the deck.PLEASE NOTE:The deck has lower banisters and railings than today's standards, so please be aware if you have small children.The loft offers a queen sized bed. It stays toasty in the winter with a roaring fire!There is a mini-split system in the main room and the basement. Located at the end of a 150 foot driveway on a quiet road in “Ausable Acres”, the Cayuga Cabin provides a quiet getaway but is close to all the High Peaks attractions. If a half a dozen cars go by, thats a busy day. Pets are welcome.The Cayuga Cabin comes completely furnished for any length stay - full kitchen with great cookware, dishwasher and clothes washer/dryer, gas grill and even a whirlpool tub, located in the main bath, are on the premises. Two TV’s with cable make the Cayuga Cabin very family friendly. There are two bedrooms on the main floor, one with a queen, the other a double. There are two singles in the loft. Second full bath is in the basement. The Cayuga Cabin is a 5 minute walk to fishing access in the renowned West Branch of the Ausable River and 20 minutes to Whiteface Mountain, Santa’s Workshop and High Falls Gorge. The Olympic Village of Lake Placid is less than 25 minutes as is Ausable Chasm – the nation’s oldest natural attraction. Montreal, Quebec and Burlington, Vermont are easy day trips. The finest hiking, biking, fishing, canoeing and cross-country skiing in the High Peaks are all at your fingertips. When you come home from a day of Adirondack adventure relax on the spacious deck or in the whirlpool tub. The River House is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom chalet that sleeps 8, tucked away in the Ausable Acres in Jay, NY, right on the West Branch Ausable River. This cozy home is on a private, secluded lot, yet close to many of the Adirondack area attractions making it an ideal location to make your home base during your winter getaway in the Adirondacks.The Ausable Acres community is located in Jay, NY and is not far from several popular local destinations. Whiteface Mountain, the “greatest vertical drop east of the Rockies” is a short drive away. Lake Placid isn’t much farther and has great shopping and dining in addition to all of the Olympic history from hosting twice, including in 1980 for the Miracle on Ice victory. The property is also centrally located between Santa’s Workshop, the Covered Bridge in Jay, High Falls Gorge, Ausable Chasm & Mt. Von Hoevenberg.The main floor consists of a well-stocked kitchen (pots, pans, silverware, cooking utensils, drinking glasses, plates, mugs, wine glasses, bakeware, etc.) with a dishwasher and a brand new fridge, an open living room with a 70-inch 4K TV (please note the wood stove isn't functioning), a sunroom with a small dinette as well as some rocking chairs and a small sofa, a king bedroom with a TV and a full bathroom.
