The master bedroom contains a walk-in closet, a spa tub, and a shower with a steam room function for unmatched relaxation and self-care.I am available by cell phone if there is an emergency or you simply can't figure out how something works!Renters that clean the vacation rental live in the mother-in-law unit on the ground floor. Any communication with cleaners can be run through me. The mother-in-law has a separate entrance and no access to the main house. Please allow room for the first floor apartment folks to get out of the driveway. The garage and a pantry on the third floor remain locked for my storage.Girdwood is a fantastic Alaskan experience. Girdwood brewing is a 7 minute walk, (3 if you cut through the meadow!) Alyeska resort of course provides the best of Alaska resort skiing and also backcountry/heli-skiing adventures nearby. Winner creek is a great hiking trail in the summer. If you don't mind some vertical elevation, the North Face Trail is open in the summer and rewards you with great views of the turnagain arm mountains. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil Girdwood cabin. Tucked amongst the forest trees, this cabin is designed as a stylistic tiny home with all the modern amenities and rustic, Alaskan charm. The Alyeska spruce cabin boasts the space saving features of a tiny home, which helps us accommodate a full kitchen with all the accessories, a 3/4 bath, and full laundry area while still maintaining a tiny footprint on Mother Nature. For sleeping accommodations, the upper loft (accessible by small ladder) will sleep two individuals comfortably as there is a twin bed to the left wing of the left, and also a twin bed to the right wing of the loft. Adjoined to the laundry room area, there is an additional loft area with another twin bed, also accessible by small ladder. The outdoors boasts the quiet, nature feels of Girdwood, Alaska. Enjoy a soak in the hot tub, sip on a cup of complimentary coffee/tea while sitting on the porch rocker, or savor some s’mores over the fire. You will love this quiet cabin surrounded by mature hemlock and spruce trees. It’s a great base to explore all that this part of Alaska has to offer. Only 1/2 mile to Alyeska ski resort. Tons of hiking and biking nearby. A short drive will take you to Anchorage, Turnagain Arm, Whittier, or Portage Glacier. Seward is close enough for a day trip for a fishing charter, a wildlife cruise, or a hike at Exit Glacier. After each day’s adventures, come home to this warm and inviting space. Hop into the steam shower to help you unwind, or pour a glass of wine to enjoy in the sunroom. On warmer days, open all the windows and from any room you can enjoy the pleasant babbling from the small creek that runs through the property. Our young boys have spent hours playing in the creek during the summer months – your kids or grandkids will too.
