Hotel Tourist

El hotel es muy lindo. Muy comodo y con buenas instalaciones. Me gustó mucho y volveria a ir. Si bien está a 10 cuadras del centro es facil llegar al centro. Volveria a ir!

總的來説，位置很好，就在海邊，廁所很大，還有陽台，衹是後面得操場晚上有活動到很晚，基本到凌晨才消停，這裏要不就在酒店用餐，要不要去1公里意外的地方！

Nice location, close to the beach, and about 15 minutes walk to the city center.... But, our room was full of ants, even in the refrigerator. Also, internet connection in the room was very poor. I expected more from this hotel, especialy with the cleaningless..

Why would anyone call a hotel 'Tourist'? Heyho. It is located at the extreme west of the beach so the beach there is probably quieter in peak season but it is a long walk to the old town We visited early in the season (April) and rooms were smelly, desperately needing airing. But ours was clean and tidy The hotel is broadly comfortable. There is a pool with outdoor seating. The room had a balcony and seating.UK television was available (quite sad really). But they dont provide water or glasses or kettles in rooms There were some problems with design, such as the blinds dont really work. cant be clipped back (in the wind) and the louvres dont open. So the room didnt have any daylight! The lift requires you to still climb 6 steps. Breakfast was good although they do use paper cups

This is a very nice hotel, especially for the money. The lobby was gorgeous - plenty of marble plus a Love Structure and seat. The room was large and well stocked including robes. The ac worked. There wasn't much of a view, but we were not paying for one.

I had never been to Sicily before so I was so careful with where I chose to book within my budget. Let's also factor in I've never driven in mainland Europe (where the road side and etiquette differs) and I didn't want to stress myself out on holiday. My partner felt the same way. So, walking distance was a factor too. Hotel Tourist is 15 minutes walk from the main town of Cefalú. Its really not too far, you can even see the Cathedral of Cefalú from the hotel and from your balcony on that side. The walk itself is a lovely stroll on a beach promenade not too far from some restaurants. We booked bed and breakfast with a balcony. We aren't the types to hang around our accommodation too long so if that's you, I highly recommend Hotel Tourist. I'm unsure if they've undergone much renovation in the past 5 years (after reading some concerning reviews) but our room was perfect, spotless clean, bathroom clean and spacious with a good shower (and water pressure). We loved the continental breakfast and looked forward to it every morning, the food was lovely and really fresh. I was loving the coffee machine (for espressos, cappuccinos, americanos etc) I want to mention a staff member called Maria who was so kind and helpful. She's a treasure. The bar was very quiet (I might have to put this down to the season, we stayed mid-May) so if you are looking for a hopping hotel bar, you might not like that. It didn't bother us, we preferred to go out regardless of that. I had a very positive experience. Again, note some of the bad reviews are old and maybe a bit unfair. Hotel Tourist is 3 star. It has a lot going for it and we would stay again. Cefalu is indeed like the pictures, absolutely stunning. One tip for prospective travellers would be to be careful on the footpaths, they are quite badly maintained and I had a tumble myself! Other than that, you won't regret booking.
