Home2 Suites by Hilton Cedar Rapids Westdale

The GM happened to be working when we checked in. He was the friendliest front desk staff I have ever come across when checking into a hotel. I was very impressed.

The usual Home2Suites however more attention to detail is needed. We were there 2 nights and the shower gel and tissues were at a minimum level so both ran out day 1…meaning those items weren’t checked. Breakfast was decent the first day, not so much the next. Two EV chargers on the back side of the hotel. Good location, plenty in the area. Hotel was fairly loud between the road noise and the air conditioning units. Worst was the total lack of water pressure. Our party had rooms on both the 2nd and 4th floors…both rooms were awful in terms of water pressure.

Great hotel except the breakfast The hotel itself is new and beautiful. The room was bright and spacious. The pool was small but clean. There is not much parking directly in front of the hotel. The breakfast was quite disappointing. The first day there was almost no food at all. We ate what we could get and there seemed to be a significant understaffing problem. The second day there was a bit more food - but the food waffle batter container was broken and the hot food wasn’t really hot. We will definitely be staying there next time but we won’t plan on eating breakfast there.

The property was very clean and the staff was amazing. Alex and Laura were both more than accommodating and so kind - doing so effortlessly and with a smile. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Property has a nice layout. Clean. Friendly staff. I just couldn't believe they would have a king room laid out like it is. The bed is so close to the a/c that you have to walk sideways to get through. When I got up in the middle of the night, I did trip on it. Luckily I fell into the bed uninjured, but not cool at all. The rest of the room was okay. The breakfast was sub par. The area around this property has eating and shopping opportunities. Don't know if I would stay there again .

Good property but king room is arranged strangely. The bed is about 12 inches from the a/c unit. I got up and about tripped over it in the middle of the night.
