I visited Cayo Largo with my 5 year old son and stayed at the Starfish resort. We had a fantastic time! The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The beach in front of the hotel was gorgeous and I had a lot of fun playing in the waves. It was a little rough for my little guy, but the hotel offers a free shuttle bus to Playa Paraiso and Playa Sirena where the water was calm. My son was able to snorkel and see some beautiful fish. I recommend taking a trip to the sea turtle rescue center, even on the off season because they have juvenile turtles and even a large albino loggerhead turtle. It was a highlight of our trip. The kitchen staff and bartenders are incredibly friendly and accommodating and the entertainment was fun. We were welcomed on our first day by Daury who was our main point of contact and who reserved our dinner dates at the a la carte restaurants. He was very attentive and always made sure we had everything we needed. He was always smiling and made our time at the resort very enjoyable. Thank you for everything and until next time!!

Starfish is the best hotel you can book on Cayo Largo. The site is clean, entertainment is nice and not too loud. The employees are so lovely and helpful, the food is good (pasta and pizza every day perfect for kids!) Chicken, pork, fish every day, rice, fruits. You always find something that fits your need. Playa is very nice, very blue and warm water, some days you cannot swim because of the waves but the pool is really nice too. A lot of chairs and palapas, dont need to reserve it early in the morning. Internet is ok, it stop often but not for long (i would not work here tho, too unstable). No hot water for the shower (not cold cold but still) for the whole week. I heard it depends cause sometimes they have it. Not a problem tho I just mentioned it so you know. Bring goods for the employees they work so much and dont have a lot. Everything you can think of. One of the best paradise of Cuba for sure. I went solo and it is very safe ! My second time here and not my last !

The time at Starfish was fantastic. I was there already the second time and it has been amazing. Daury was our mayordomo and he was a great help for all the time. The beaches are fantastic - personally the best I have seen so far! Will be back soon:-)

Was at this resort 10 years ago when it was Sol Pelicans. So many improvements and all for the best. Great staff at the pool bar, the ocean bar, the restaurants but Rumbo at the pizza presto and all of his staff were the best. Great choices of food, entertainment and staff. Will definitely be returning.

For the price, starfish Cayo largo is Great! The colours at the beach are the best in the world. Since this is Cuba, we did not expect any vegetables or fruit so we were not surprised that those foods were not available. It was very sad not to hear Cuban music at the Ranchon a la carte for our evening meal. Yanelis was awesome! She made sure our a la cart reservations were accurate, we had a taxi when we needed it and our massage were booked.

Our family spent 1 week in this resort and enjoyed everything about it! The food was great as we had fresh omelette and pancakes every morning. The pasta bar had delicious pastas and had great choice of sauces! Our butler, Daury, made sure we had our 2 à la carte restaurant booked and always happy to help us Everything is at walking distance, so you do waste time walking around to get where you want! La playa Sirena was always gorgeous with the ocean being as blue as in our dreams and the resort offered free shuttles to get to it! There are alot of activities nearby that are at no more than a 15min drive from the resort! All of the staff was friendly and helpful! Thank you for having us!! :)

I have been to Cayo Largo twice to Starfish and 3 times to Cayo Largo. The people are all kind and friendly. The food was good. The room was good. The weather was good. This year it was very windy making the beach rough. Previously you could have loungers on the sand, feet away from the ocean. Not this year. You could always go to Sirena beach if you wanted a long beach walk. The pool was clean. I hope to see everyone again next year. David.

Our 10th time at the Starfish (former Pelicano) for my husband, and like for the other times, we were very satisfied. The staff is amazing and friendly, especially Yanelis Echavarria, who helped us with a very minor issue and with who it was fun to chat. The food was good. Our room was confortable and clean. Good entertainment. I highly recommend the Starfish as it is a great place with great people. We will definately go again.

Every thing was to my liking for the most part. Our Major d'homme Yanelis is very nice and helpful. The food was to my liking. The local beach was not safe to get to nor to swim in. Waves too high. A 45 minute free train on wheels ride or a 10 minute taxi drive to nice beaches were available. We only went once. There was drinking water always but 2 nights no shower, toilet or sink water. The shower drain wasn't draining properly even after requesting it fixed. Aside from that we had a nice vacation. If the hotel was located much closer to the paraiso or sirena beaches it would have been much better. If you are not beach people then, it is a wonderful place.
