The images shown on the website do a disservice to the actual experience, as they fail to accurately represent the reality of the place. The staff, while amicable and helpful, breakfast was okay. These were the only redeeming aspect of the experience. Beyond that, it was a letdown. The accommodation (rooms) can be described as dated. The decor felt like it was stuck in a bygone era (1980), not having seen a refresh for many years, perhaps even decades. The furnishings were worn and showed signs of significant wear and tear. I was expecting something more contemporary, or at least well-maintained, given the promise of the pictures online. The amenities were equally disappointing. They were basic and rudimentary, failing to offer any sense of luxury or comfort that one would expect from a the online image. Lack of modern conveniences, from the quality of the bed linens to the state of the bathroom fixtures, made the stay less comfortable than it could have been. Additionally, the bed was uncomfortable, we slept badly. There was no cleaning or towel change during the stay. The swimming pool was under maintenance. To conclude, this accommodation fell far short of expectations, delivering an experience that was far more basic and dated than suggested by the online presentation. The friendly staff did their best to assist, but the overall experience was overshadowed by these shortcomings. Potential guests should bear this in mind and adjust their expectations accordingly.

Travelled with my son, reception quickly sorted the double bed into 2 singles (!), great shower, large bottle of shower gel/shampoo fixed to wall which was good. Towels not very big and no heated towel rail to dry them. Kettle in room with proper mugs. Bedside lights too low to read comfortably by, and no central light. The spa was very welcome post ski - sauna/steam room, large jacuzzi and a pool with currents in. Good changing rooms with lockers. Towels for spa are 3,50 extra, and you can hire a dressing gown too if you wish. Restaurant was buffet, a good selection - pleasant waiter/waitress. Good selection at breakfast too - excellent coffee. Locker room for skis and boots. Plenty of free parking nearby. Near the bubble car, and a ski hire shop opposite.

Garden &City Cauterets is a hotel conveniently located near shops and all amenities. It has a great pool and a play area that my daughter loves. This is our second time here and we will definitely come back as the whole staff are very friendly and helpful. We truly had a wonderful stay.

Stayed here for 1 night in February 2022, as a last minute decision for skiing. Hotel is OK, but the room could really do with being updated. The was 1 locker ( if that's what you could call it ) at one side of the bed. The bed was like about 3 ft off the floor with legs like spindles. It was like a roll out bed for choice of a better word, only you couldn't roll it. Why they don't invest in decent beds and charge an extra €20 a night , would be worth paying. There were 2 cheap metal chairs a dresser and a radiator on the wall that you had to turn button to switch on and adjust 1-8 on a switch, didn't know they make these anymore. It's a pity the room was such a let down as the hotel itself seems nice, soo central, long side a supermarket and just off the square, and the staff seemed nice.

Une seule prise de dispo dans la chambre (celle de la télé) Une ampoule de grillée dans la salle de bain. Bout de pain tout dur, oublié dans la chambre depuis un bon bout de temps, juste sous le bureau. Énormément de poussière un peu partout. Réservation du parking faite une semaine à l’avance, une fois sur place on nous annonce qu’il n’y a plus de places .... j’avais lors de ce même coup de fil, demandé si l’espace balnéo était accessible dans son intégralité (intérieur/extérieur) ce à quoi on m’a répondu oui, grosse déception lors de la découverte de l’espace extérieur en travaux et donc non accessible. Précision faite aussi pour un lit double, et déception en arrivant dans la chambre en trouvant 2 petits lits collés. Et pour finir, malgré le personnel de cuisine au top (car quand c’est bien il faut le dire aussi) peu de choix, nourriture froide le temps de monter dans les chambres, contenants très peu pratiques pour manger, malgré le Covid et les conditions difficiles que l’on peut comprendre, à 35€ par jour par personne juste pour la demi pension, elle se devrait d’être bien plus fournie et qualitative.

Grosse déception au niveau de la piscine extérieure vide ,un jacuzzi en travaux et l’eau dans la piscine à peine tiède ainsi que les jets massant tout était tiède partout,au bout de 5 minutes on était gelé.nous avons avertis la réception lors de notre départ et ils nous ont répondu que se sera mieux l’année prochaine si on revenait 😡.nous avons payé cette semaine plein tarif ,un prix élevé en fait juste pour une chambre.
