The Yard Hostel

Great place to stay! Great staff! Thank you so much ❤️ Wonderful and affordable hostel. Grand spaces to socialise. There is an airport bus stop near the hostel and also a lot of nice restaurants close by. I will definitely come back.

I was aggressively verbally attacked by the owner and kicked out from the hostel at 10 pm for expressing my opinion on non-alcoholic rules of the hostel. It all started because he bullied me for finishing 50 ml of beer I had from the other shop then his hostel bar. I came to the from my evening walk (21:15) with 2 last sips of small beer. I was told it is forbidden to drink alcohol from outside the hostel. So I just finished the beer and asked the owner if it also applies to the kitchen when cooking my dinner. And he said yes. So I commented, that it is "The most stupid rule I have ever heard of." and went to bed. This my comment got owner so angry, that he came to my room, with another guy and started to attack me with the words like "Who do you think you are, to talk to me like that" and "it is my house and my rules". As they argued and raised their voices, they also pushed me into the corner of then empty room and I had to ask them several times to leave and stop making me uncomfortable by being alone with two of them in the empty room and in the corner. After a while, one guy left, owner came back, yowling at me, no knocking or permission to enter. I asked him repeatedly to leave me alone, he knew my flight is early and just need to stay until 5 am. I did nothing, just was in bed, asking him to leave me alone. He left for a like 5 minutes and then came back (no knocking) with a "I called a police on you, get your stuff and get out". So he lied about the police, in fact I should be the one calling the police. But I didnt want to stay in this hostel anymore anyway. I was just shocked that owner decided to kick a girl at 10 pm from the hostel because he just dont know how to deal with criticism. After he decided to kicked me out I got really angry and called him names. There was a girl, she heard everything and helped me. In the end I stayed in a place nearby. So message to the owner, I was not desperate, alone, on the street at night, as you wished me to be.

Very friendly staff. Really easy to book in. And they make great free coffee👍 Really cool design. It’s made on a old school. Rooms were really nice. We stayed in private room but didn’t hear anyone complain about the shared rooms. Perfect location. Really easy to get to markets and cool stuff nearby. Also lots of nice people there.

I personally had a nice stay. Staff was super friendly. The place is chic and hip with comfortable beds. It's centrally location walking distance from several restaurants. Johnny was so kind and helpful and keeps the place looking clean and tidy. The only down side is that the bar is downstairs and gets pretty loud. However, if you are young and wanting to mingle its the perfect place.

Locale bello e particolare. Siamo andati per un aperitivo e abbiamo trascorso una serata piacevole. Fritto misto eccellente. La cameriera Alessia è stata cordialissima anche ad averci trovato un tavolo migliore per noi. Consigliatissimo!

Sono stato recentemente al The Yard Hostel con alcuni colleghi per un aperitivo e purtroppo l'esperienza è stata molto deludente, principalmente a causa del comportamento del cameriere che si è occupato delle nostre ordinazioni. Abbiamo optato per un tagliere grande, ma il problema è sorto quando è stato portato al tavolo con delle guarnizioni di mela (o pera) a spicchi. Avendo specificato la mia allergia ad entrambi i frutti, mi aspettavo una risposta più attenta e professionale. Tuttavia, la risposta del cameriere è stata alquanto scioccante: "Vabbè, prendi la parte di salumi nei laterali". Questa risposta non solo ha ignorato il rischio allergico, ma è stata anche accompagnata da un tono poco professionale e scorbutico. Oltre al pericolo di uno shock anafilattico, il comportamento del cameriere ha reso l'intera serata poco piacevole. Nonostante questa delusione, devo sottolineare che il posto è molto carino e accogliente. L'atmosfera è piacevole e l'arredamento crea un'atmosfera invitante.
