We dined at the refurbished Green Room Restaurant at the TF Royal Hotel in Castlebar on Friday, and it was fabulous! The menu offered fresh, tasty food with great variety, from curries to steaks, chicken dishes, and short ribs. The short ribs were the best my niece ever had! The service was great, attentive, and professional, while the cosy and nicely decorated space added to the warm atmosphere. The food and beverage manager checked on us and was very friendly, which made the evening even more special. It’s the perfect spot for gatherings or Christmas parties—highly recommend for an enjoyable experience!

Attended for Sunday lunch with family. Staff are slow and disorganized. Forever waiting for menus. Forever waiting for order to be taken. Ages waiting for food. Ordered drinks and had to remind twice to get them. Food was not great after waiting that long. Chips were cold. Disappointing overall.

Went in for food. Waiter took our order and we wait 45mins for food for waiter to come back ask did we get food and when he was told no then asked what we ordered to be told lies about their system playing up and our order had only gone. Didn't get food and won't be going back in. Poor service

Attended a concert here last night and we booked a table in the restaurant beforehand. It was a set menu as a result of the show which was fine but the food was clearly pre prepared and reheated and was simply not good. We went to order drinks and our server, who was a lovely girl and this is in no way her fault as she was just following orders, informed us that she could only serve our drinks in plastic cups- we had ordered a bottle of prosecco. Ridiculous protocol seeing as this was at 5pm in the evening in the restaurant and the gig was not due to start for several hours. Not sure what they thought we were going to be doing with the glasses. Poor service really, we left immediately after finishing the food, will not be returning if we ever attend another gig there.

We just had a really lovely sunday lunch in the Green Room restaurant part of the TF hotel. It was absolutely delicious. My husband had the beef and i had the salmon. They were both top class meals and the atmosphere was lovely. We had the nicest lady waitress called Michelle and she was just so lovely and nothing was a problem. We really enjoyed our meal out and will be back again soon.

A staff team of 10 people ate dinner in the green room . We all had different meals to eat and each Person enjoyed the meal. The area itself is lovely and spacious . Staff were friendly and helpful. Over all we will be returning in the future and I will be suggesting to others.

One of the worst meals we have ever had! We went yesterday I had the salmon which was dry and overcooked, veg soggy and hardly any sauce,I have no idea why there was half a cold roast potato on the plate. My husband had chicken burger also well overcooked and dry. Service was bad not once did anybody ask us if everything was ok or offer us coffee or dessert and they were not busy as there were only 8 people apart from 2 toddlers. We went to pay and just got asked if we wanted a table then said we had eaten so we’re told go to the bar. Terrible food, terrible service, terrible atmosphere. I normally just vote with my feet and not leave a review but this was really bad.

We ate in the restaurant as a group. I ordered a chicken burger which was inedible, the chicken you could not cut it with a steak knife. It was rock hard. Very poor service. The chicken burger was taken off the bill. When I informed staff there was no apology, I was told it must have been their suppliers fault. Very poor service.

I had a meal with family in the green room. The food was lovely however the service was the worst iv come across. We were seated by a staff member in the restaurant and left there until we went looking for someone to take an order. Eventually we got someone and we ordered the special on the menu. It took about 20 minutes for them to return to say the special was all gone. That was fine we ordered sometime else. I then asked for a glass as we were short one on the table, I asked the same member of staff 3 times for the glass but it never came, I had to go to the bar and get it myself. We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for the food to come, and it came incorrect with none of the sides we had ordered. The restaurant was practically empty and staff wandering around. Unfortunately I had the exact same experience on 3 or 4 previous occasions so there has been no improvement to the service. It was a very diaspointing experience again.
