Le Friquet Hotel

We went to the Lobster & Grill Guernsey for their 10 year anniversary party on the 22nd of March 2025. We did the Staycation offer and must say from Check In, the restaurant meal, the room and check out the following day was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. We’ve been to this establishment on numerous occasions and Jimmy the General Manager always greets us with his cheery manner, Ivo the Head Waiter provides excellent service, Gabi the Head Chef always serves up superb food, and the whole team, I’ve not mentioned, are excellent in every way and can’t wait to go back again soon.

Our stay at this lovely hotel was superb. From the first greeting from Sofia on reception, we felt at home. Having stayed before we had the same room which is light and spacious (room42) .Our sweet girl who came in each day to service the room, Lisa, was so professional and kept us organised. The restaurant serves a buffet breakfast with plentiful choices. In the evening the meals are varied and reasonably priced. They do serve Lobsters but not being a fish lover I did not partake. Wishing we were still there on this beautiful idyllic Island and will return again am sure.

Unlucky for me I messed up my booking dates and only found out when I arrived. Two pieces of luck followed, I was greeted by the delightful receptionist, Jennifer from memory, who booked me in to the last room available and arranged for me and two guest of mine to join me for dinner. The restaurant was fully booked, but they managed to squeeze us in. I was allocated room 12, which is on the 1st floor overlooking the front of the hotel. A comfortable, clean twin room, with everything you would expect in a hotel room, with very good quality towels and lots of hot water. I had an issue with my phone charger, popped down to reception and Jennifer, found me a charger I could borrow, she saved my day again, that was the 3rd time in 1/2hr. My guests arrived a short time later and we enjoyed a great meal, all 3 having the scallops, 2 of us sharing a wonderfully presented and incredibly tasty Chateaubriand, best I’ve ever had. I was encouraged by the waitress to sample the Mochi Dessert and am now addicted to them. After a good night sleep and enjoyed the well presented breakfast, there was Jennifer at reception to thank me for choosing Le Friquet and wishing me a good day. I visit Guernsey 5 or 6 times a year and if it’s my choice I always try to stay at Le Friquet, with the home from home feel, the warmth of the welcome, great food and attentive staff, why choose anywhere else!

We stayed at the Friquet for 4 nights in between moving house . We enjoyed it and couldn't fault anything . All the staff were very friendly and attentive . The bedroom and shower room were spotless and the bed was comfy . We had a meal one evening , I had a curry , which was one of the nicest I've had . We would be happy to stay again .

Warm welcome from friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable bedroom and excellent value for money by booking direct. Ample parking. I always use this hotel when visiting family in Guernsey. Highly recommended. Just 1 mile from Cobo Beach

The rooms was clean and had all the necessities. I would advise if you could have temporary room warm open shoes which one can use to move around the hotel other than putting one's dirty shoes around.I must also appreciate being accorded a double room after booking a single room.
