We thought this hotel would be closer to the train station. It’s actually about a 20-minute walk. We were misled by the map—it looked like it was in the neighboring building, but in reality, we had to walk around, and the walk ended up taking 20 minutes.
Upon check-in, there were no towels in the room. But what surprised us even more was that when they finally brought towels, there was only one. There was nothing to step on after a shower—not even a mat for the slippery, cold tile floor—and nothing to dry your hands with.
When we asked, the reception told us that it’s simply not provided.
There’s no phone number listed for reception from the room, so to resolve any issue, you have to go downstairs.
A surprisingly poor and rude level of service from a chain hotel. We regretted not staying at the hotel next door, which we liked much more during our previous visit.
