挺破舊的一個酒店，東西都壞的七七八八了。位置挺偏，邊上是另一家拆了一半的度假村的廢墟，瘮得慌，不推薦

Excelente acomodação, bem iluminada e com todos os quesitos que precisa para uma estadia. Próximo a uma maravilhosa praia para se ir a pé e ver o pôr do sol deslumbrante. Recomendo.

Wonderful resort very clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and welcome, the food is fantastic served by the most entertaining bar staff where nothing is a problem. The Chef is amazing. The pool is quiet and relaxing. The outside dining area on a summers night shouldn’t be missed.

DO NOT BOOK A “2 Bedroom Apartment Superior Garden and Partial Sea” at the Pestana Palm Resort. These apartments are meant to have a superior location. However as you can see from the photos below, of the view day and night from our patio, they do not. Do not get ripped off like we did and just book a standard room and save yourself 550 Euros! In detail: We decided to book our 10 night family holiday (family = 2 adults & 3 teenagers, so 5 adults in holiday terms) to the highly rated Pestana Palm Garden Resort. We like to dine alfresco and sit outside of an evening having a drink and watching the stars come out etc. As this is something we look for in our holiday we decided to spend the extra money and book the “superior” accommodation over the standard. The two options are exactly the same accommodation the only difference is, and I quote from their website “These units have a superior location at the resort.” So we arrived at our holiday accommodation slightly early (check in was at 16:00) and told our accommodation was not ready but could use the facilities while we waited. So two of us jumped in the pool and the rest of us went to the bar. This was a good start to the holiday, the weather was great the beer was cold so all good. We then got told our room was ready so we headed over. The room was as described with two large bedrooms, and a single bed in the living area. The balcony was off the second bedroom where two of our teenagers were. The balcony was about the width of a patio chair and you could get two people sitting face to face. No way this could be used by any more, you could see the sea if you looked to the left. This was as expected as I have been on enough holidays and know enough estate agents to understand what a “partial sea view” equates too. However what we were not expecting was the view from the patio. As we walked towards it from inside the accommodation you were confronted by a two storey wall. In fact you had to step outside and then look directly up to see the sky. It was awful we had a bush to one side and the resort road to the other and then this two story wall. The photos show the view when we were sitting outside during the day and night. My first instinct was that there had been some mistake and we had been given the wrong accommodation. So I went to reception and asked if we had the right accommodation as we had paid extra for a superior accommodation. The receptionist said that yes this was a superior accommodation. So I proceeded to explain how awful the location was with the view of the two story wall. How we would be happy with a standard room by the tennis courts, as these looked to be a better location (at least you could see the sky). The receptionist, expectedly, told us that unfortunately they were fully booked and couldn’t offer us another room. However if someone cancelled and a room came available they would let us know. Family of 4 stayed in the Pestana Palm Gardens in June 24. The complex is a 25 minute walk from Carvoeiro, a small enough town with just a couple of shopping streets and 10 restaurants. There are also about 10 nice restaurants on the way, about 15 minutes walk. I would recommend A Rede the most, but all that we dined in we enjoyed. There is an Aldi about 15 minutes away via Uber - less than a tenner. The complex itself was nice and quiet, no loud music or people. We stayed in a two bed superior apartment. The place was cleaned every day and had plenty of room, both inside and on the lawn outside. It was a bit dated, wobbly toilet seats and minor issues, but nothing to crib about. It had a washing machine which was very handy. The pool was very nice, not too busy when we were there, however a horde of about 20 with unpleasant kids in one group took over the place on the day that we left, the 23rd. The pool staff, Ricardo and Reuben and others whose name I didn't get were very efficient, knowledgeable and great fun. One dealt with unruly kids and rude adults as mentioned above with more than a modicum of restraint and a great deal of professionalism. There are plenty of excellent beaches nearby, especially Centianes which is only 10 minutes walk, however, it is not really disabled friendly. There are also fantastic cliff walks on the way to the town. I would recommend taking a boat trip from here to visit the caves, including the famous Benagil. The Moorish town of Silves is also worth a look, and there are 3/4 splash and slide parks nearby. A word of warning - Villas 9 to 14 and 20 to 32 will be affected by the noise coming from a building site very close next door. Luckily, the lady at reception moved us to a quieter villa without any quibble. Thank you. All in all, I would recommend the Gardens for a quiet family holiday.

The hotel is nice and the staff have been great BUT be aware before you book that next door a major construction project has just started. They are knocking down a hotel at the moment and this morning they started at 6:45 so don't expect to be able to sleep beyond this!! Our room is directly facing the construction site. Fortunately we are only here a few days and check out tomorrow but this hotel should be making people aware of this before they book.
