Quinta Do Paraiso - Al

We booked this last minute on a leading travel website with a blue logo. The pictures on the website bore no resemblance to the room we were given. E g. One bathroom and not two bathrooms. We were a group of three friends and two of us were a couple hence the requirement. We were tired after a long days travelling. We complained that we felt they had been mislead. The manager said oh yes "we have had this before" and "we have some rooms which would make you" and he made the vomit action. We were staggered by this. They did offer a full refund but made it very difficult for 3 hours as it has been booked via the website. Eventually they agreed to refund us over the counter. My advice steer clear OR at the very least see the room first. NO on second thoughts steer WELL CLEAR

Beautiful place to stay, the staff were amazing very friendly and helpful the only downside was the bed it was the worst thing I have ever tried to sleep on, none of us had a good nights sleep here, we slept between the sofa and the kids single bed, my husband even spent a night sleeping on the pool floatie that’s how bad it was, my sister stayed in a different apartment and her bed wasn’t as bad. The pools were lovely and quiet the major upside to this place was it wasn’t full of English getting drunk letting their kids run wild, it has a very relaxed chilled out atmosphere

A lovely area, reception and bar nice, good service. Pools good, although top pool doesn't seem to be tidied at the end of the day which makes me wonder on cleanliness? Also it is a shame the bar is closed at this pool. Our apartment is fine, clean and well equipped. I'm not sure I'd say it was 'superior', but it is spacious. I was not aware or told about nearby building works, so it's not peaceful all the time, I'm currently listening to banging and drilling which is a shame. We have an annoying drip from an upstairs air con unit so I have to close window during night as its constantly making a noise like water torture😩. The area is very nice, courtesy bus a bonus as parking in Carvoeiro seems almost non existent. The Italian restaurant is delightful ,a real asset, perfect setting amongst beautiful shrubs and pretty lights. We had a very good meal here. Enjoying our stay, just a shame about the building noise and leaking air con.....but I would recommend this resort. Definitely not good for anyone with mobility issues and it is huge!

Lovely complex with very helpful and friendly staff, as we found with most places. Lovely well kept pool areas with three pools. We booked VRBO, so it was a private apartment, which was again well kept with plenty of towels and bedding etc. Used Bolt and Uber to get up and down into town, but again well priced. Would thoroughly recommend.

Family holiday in a Villa with pool on the complex. After a long journey from Lisbon it was disappointing the villa had broken air con and a drainage issue. After much toing and froing with the management and promises of getting things sorted quickly, I honestly thought our holiday would be ruined. I was delighted that within 24 hours everything was satisfactory completed including fully replacing an air con unit. The staff at this resort are fantastic nothing was too much trouble but a special shout out to Edgar who was cheerful everyday and extremely helpful plus the pool bar staff who created a great atmosphere especially during the football. Yes some of the areas look a bit tired but everywhere was clean spotless and I would recommend having a car if you stay here however it was a throughly enjoyable trip.

Overall we had a good time in a superior bungalow here in Quita do Paraiso. The resort was quiet and relaxing. The bungalow was spacious but the kitchen and overall decor was a little dated but clean. The outdoor area was a real bonus with sun loungers and a table to eat at. The shuttle bus was an excellent facility to have as is the small supermarket with fresh bread and pastries each day. I would like to recognise 2 staff in particular, Edgar who served us breakfast and dinner in the trattoria across the road - such a happy, friendly person! Also, Alex who was involved in the entertainment and was very friendly and helpful! On improvments, there was very little atmosphere in the resort, I appreciate it was early in the season but perhaps a welcome drinks evening one day could make a big difference... My main gripe was the coffee - I could not get a decent coffee in the place! The coffee at breakfast was from a machine - awful!! Please provide proper coffee for breakfast! The activities were limited, it would be great to have some aqua fit classes in the pool for guests. Overall, the resort is clean and spacious with beautiful plants - recommend for a family holiday as lots of nice beaches to explore nearby (we went to Alvor and Ferragudo for day trips), ubers were easy to call to the resort, we did not need to rent a car. Looking forward to returning in the future!
