We had a lovely time in Avlon House. It is super clean comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was really delicious with a great variety of options. The atmosphere was very nice and friendly. We would highly recommend staying here and will most certainly be back!!!

Great stay in this very lovely traditional Irish home. We loved our breakfast and the host Thomas was great and provided local tips and recommendations. His hospitality is 5 stars all the way!! It was very quiet during our stay. I did read some bad reviews regarding the host not accommodating late arrivals but you have to remember this is not a hotel with a 24 hour front desk and maid staff. The breakfast was cooked by Thomas himself and it was very delicious with many options.

Excellent B and B. Beautiful house, great amenities and only 5/ 10 minute walk into town and train station. The breakfast choices were numerous and all delicious. Tom is very attentive and knowledgeable of the area and ensures that the guests needs are met. Would recommend.

We have a very good experience during our two days stay in Avlon House Bed &Breakfast : a nice room, an excellent breakfast, a fonctionnal bathroom, an attentive welcome, good advices about what to visit around Carlow and in all the south east. We recommend.

Lovely clean and tidy room Powerful shower Tv connected to Netflix which also helps when on work business Good strong local wifi included in the price Food was immense and set me right up for the day Plenty of parking for guests at the rear of the property too

Plenty of parking, large room, comfy bed and attentive staff. The room was pleasant, clean and tidy. The breakfast choice was broad and had great food sourced locally. I stayed for business and found the room ideally located for my meetings and with desk space to work in the evening.

Excellent service and friendly atmosphere. Beautiful food.Tom really cares about his customer. The rooms are beautiful and clean and very comfortable. The location is ideal and has adequate parking. I will definitely stay here again and will highly recommend to my friends.

I can't put into works how amazing the guesthouse is, they have truly thought of everything. The house, grounds and shared spaces are lovely. The rooms and ensuite are spacious, with everything you could ever need. The extras really help when traveling with cabin baggage, as was the water as I am forever forgetting to buy some for at night. The Irish breakfast is phenomenal and it filled us, and we have big appetites. We sat in the garden at night and it's was so tranquil after a day exploring. The host are outstanding, they take a genuine interest in their guests without feeling intrusive. My trip to Carlow was a special one and the Avlon Guesthouse experience added so much to it. We are already planning to try and coming back later this year, staying again at the Avlon and using it as a based to explore more of S.E Ireland.

Stayed for two nights and genuninly feel this is one of the best guest houses I have ever stayed in. You receive a great welcome from when you arrive and the rooms and guest house itself is beautiful. The room we stayed in is very spacious and immaculate. The bed itself is the most comfiest I have ever slept in. There is also little touches like a selection of toileteries that were ideal for when you are away and the wifi service in the rooms is excellent. There is also a beautiful garden area out back with water features, flowers and ornaments we loved. The breakfast service in the morning was quality with a brilliant selection of foods. This guest house will always be our go to place to stay when in Carlow. I cannot thank them enough for how good our stay was during out time in Ireland.
