Hotel la Minerva

This review applies to the Villa Arabella, which - like the Hotel Minerva - is run with great passion by the Esposito family. Our stay got off to a great start: Luigi Esposito, our host, picked us up personally at the port of Capri and accompanied us to the villa. I was fascinated by Villa Arabella from the very first glance. The location, the tasteful furnishings and the elegant style - everything was just perfect. The villa is in a quiet area about a 10-minute walk from the lively Piazzetta. After visiting the tourist hotspots, it was good to return to the less crowded part of the island. We felt completely safe throughout our stay in the villa and its surroundings. The villa has been recently renovated and is stylishly and luxuriously furnished in typical Capri style. All three bedrooms have direct access to the terrace and their own en-suite bathroom. Two rooms are large and spacious, one of them with a very large bathroom. The third room is rather small. The roof terrace is fantastic with sweeping views over Capri and the sea. Luigi knows the island and the surrounding area perfectly and provided us with numerous tips and organized private tours and restaurant reservations for us. Another highlight was the breakfast, which the chef prepared fresh every morning according to our wishes. The service is also available for lunch and dinner on request. The only thing we missed in the villa was a pool. There is a whirlpool, which is a good alternative especially in the cooler months. We felt very comfortable in Villa Arabella and would book this fantastic house again in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful time at La Minerva as part of our honeymoon. There were plenty of nice touches, such as preparing the room each time we went out to dinner (they left a flower and the next day's news on the bed, lit a candle, and had the TV on with gentle music) and a welcome cocktail. The rooftop dining was lovely, and the complimentary breakfast was very good as well. The concierges were extremely helpful for booking outings and transportation. My only (small) complaint was our balcony view was mostly obstructed by a tree/bush of some kind, but I don't know if it was on La Minerva's property, so it may not have even been their fault.

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night as part of our Amalfi Coast trip. We stayed at 6 different hotels during our trip and this was by far our favorite hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful and the location is ideal within walking distance to the center of Capri Town. Our room was spacious and had all the amenities we would want. Breakfast in the morning was a small buffet but they also had a menu where you could order other breakfast items. What made this hotel stand out to us was the service. The gentlemen at the front desk were so friendly and so accommodating. They gave great recommendations of what to do, where to eat, etc. We asked for coffee a couple times in the room and it was brought to us immediately. They also kept us updated on our ferry for when we were leaving the island. There was some question as to whether our ferry would have been cancelled due to high seas and they even had one of their representatives meet us at the ferry dock to make sure everything was running as scheduled. Our only regret is that we didn't spend more time here to enjoy the hotel and outstanding service. We highly recommend this hotel when traveling to Capri!

My husband and I recently returned from a trip to Italy which ended with a stay at La Minerva in Capri. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful trip. La Minerva is a small and beautiful boutique hotel where the brothers who manage it treat you like family. Our room was spotless and welcoming with a lovely view of the pool, grounds and sea. We appreciated the transfer help provided at the beginning of our trip as we arrived via ferry. We asked for advice about our trip back to Rome to fly home and they arranged our ferry transport and a private driver from Naples at a reasonable price so we could relax instead of navigate the train. Before arriving we asked for suggestions for evening dining. After we chose two spots from a list they provided the staff arranged our reservations. Our tables had wonderful views and we were treated like royalty. We enjoyed the delicious breakfasts at La Minerva and time by the pool. We received suggestions each day about things to do on the island and loved the turn down service each evening. We have stayed at many top notch hotels around the world and this is one of the best ever. If you are looking for a quiet get away where you can relax and be pampered, this is the place for you.

How does a perfect hotel get better and better? Capri is a beautiful destination and you want to relax and slowly enjoy it. A day trip allows you to see the glamour of the town, but a long stay lets you enjoy the real beauty of the nature of the island. La Minerva is in an excellent location with beautiful views, gorgeous interiors. It is however the owners and every member of their team which will make your stay perfect. Every single guest treated as a friend. It’s a unique experience and they make every guest feel special. I love it here.

What an experience!!!! Wow This Boutique Hotel is fantastic, from location to hospitality 10/10! We felt like family, they couldn’t do enough to make sure all our needs were met! We only stayed 2 nights but I wished it would hv been more!!! Hope to one day return…
