Dreams Madeira Resort Spa & Marina

Beautiful location. Splash pool and sauna unfortunately still not ready when we visited. Other services great though. Good selection of bars. In general good selection of food although we found the different restaurant a bit disappointing; it was mostly the same food as the buffet, only presented nicely. Apart from the check in where the reception kept accusing us of booking the wrong room for a family (we didn’t) generally great service.

Nice Hotel great service shame the only heated pool was adults only which was empty most of the time, hopefully the kids pool will be open soon. We bought wetsuits for the kids and they swam with us in the sea pool which was lovely. We will be back again.

From start to finish, we had a fantastic time at Dreams Madeira and would highly recommend it. On arriving, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, everything was clean and well-presented, and we were even greeted with Valentine’s Day messages to welcome us. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the entertainment staff really exceeded themselves in looking after us. On the rare occasions that the weather was gloomy, one girl, Vanessa, really added some sunshine for us. She really went above and beyond to ensure we had a marvellous time, and the children loved her. In terms of the food, the themed restaurants catered to all of our needs, and we particularly enjoyed ‘Sabor’, but ‘Oshii’ and ‘Carvão’ were also great, not to mention the buffet. As for activities, there were cocktail making workshops, couple’s painting, and candle making, which all added variety to a relaxing stay. A particular highlight was the quiz which Nuno & Vanessa put on, but across the board, there was so much for the whole family to do. The Kid’s Club was better than we were expecting, and our daughter had so much fun with Carol and the girls, she didn’t want to leave. The setting itself was stunning, with a private beach and natural pool, and it very much felt like the luxury experience we were hoping for. With so much to see and do on the island, we’ll certainly stay here again when we next come to Madeira. All in all, it was a great experience.
