I stayed at Hyatt Place Candolim for 3 nights. The experience was smooth and the staff was polite throughout, especially Jessica at the front desk, who went the extra mile to assist during check-in and made us feel welcome. We were given a room upgrade with a pool-facing balcony, which was appreciated. The room was clean and functional & well appointed, though the bathroom design needs improvement — water from the shower would regularly spill out due to lack of a proper door as there is only half a glass partition. The swimming pool is quite small, and most of the time, it was occupied by groups, making it difficult to use. We ended up not using it at all. Breakfast was satisfactory, but not exceptional — the bakery items felt below average for a hotel in this category. In-room dining was better in terms of taste, although prices felt a bit steep considering the overall feel of the property , but no issues as the taste was good . One of the highlights was the tea station available in the evenings. The staff at the counter were polite, attentive, and helpful, adding a warm touch to the service experience. The real downside came at check-out. I had requested a late check-out in advance, and it was confirmed over the phone. But on the day of departure, I received multiple follow-up calls, urging us to vacate. While we weren’t directly forced to leave, the constant reminders & multiple calls created stress and pressure especially since it was raining and we had senior citizens and a child with us. Moving between blocks while it was all open are and reaching the reception in wet weather was not easy. The lobby and porch area are both very small, and during check-out hours, the entrance gets jammed with cars and luggage, making it chaotic and slow to exit. It’s clearly not designed to handle multiple check-outs at once. Final Thoughts - The hotel is clean and functional, and fine for a short stay — but it lacks the charm and relaxed resort feel one might want in Goa. Would I return? Probably not — there was no strong reason to
