Zafiro Mallorca & Spa

We went with the 2 room Penthouse and Jacuzzi. Not the largest hotel with one restaurant. The beach bar turns into another 'restaurant' in the evening. However, it made the ambience! The drinks are premium to some extent and the breakfast and variety of food was good. It's great for families, the staff are great, the service (reception, beach bar, restaurant) is excellent and the general vibe of the place is positive. The entertainment in the evening for kids seemed to keep them happy. As friends we took a cab to the local town, Banana Bar is great and very safe with great music. In summary this hotel has it all and good value in my opinion, I would recommend trying this and I would try others under Zafrio brand.

We’ve just got back from our honeymoon with our three children (ages 17 years, 15 years & 18 months) and I cannot praise the hotel & staff enough. From the moment we arrived nothing was too much. We were allowed to use the AI straight away & checked into our room earlier than we expected. We had two joining rooms with private pools and there was plenty of space for us all with all the facilities a family needs. The private pools were especially handy for when the baby wanted a nap but we didn’t want to miss out on cooling down with a dip. The buffet food selection for breakfast and dinner was brilliant & every night there was something for all of us to eat. The lunch was out favourite though with choices of pizzas, burgers, pastas, nachos etc. and the drinks selection didn’t disappoint. The hotel was clean and the pools well maintained with lifeguard supervision and never any issue getting a sunbed. However, the staff are what makes this hotel. Friendly, attentive, great with our little one, patient and always smiling. From the grounds maintenance team to reception staff, everyone had a smile on their face and said hello. We were especially blown away by the helpfulness of the lady that checked us in (I’m sorry I didn’t get her name) and Otmane (one of the restaurant / bar staff) who provided such a personal customer experience. You can see that every member of staff really cares about providing a good service and all work really hard at what they do. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and we can’t wait to hopefully return in the future! Thank you Zafiro Mallorca for making our familymoon so special!

We've just got back from a 10 day stay with our baby in September at the Zafiro Mallorca and it was really great all round.  All of the staff, from the reception to the restaurants to the cleaners to the lifeguards, were so friendly and helpful to us all week. Particular shout outs to Aina Vives and Veronica Mendez in the restaurant who were lovely to us and our little one. The food the whole stay was top notch and the hotel was always so clean. There's lots to do for young children and it's in a great location, with free parking. As we stayed for more than a week, we could use the a la carte restaurant twice and the food and service there was also excellent.   We'd love to come back.

Great family hotel. Choice of food excellent. My grumble was each sitting the butter dish moved to different ends of the buffet. Why can’t there be 2 butter dishes at each end. I found this very frustrating. The location is good, just a 7/8 minute walk to the beach. The children loved the pool. Overall a good choice of hotel.

Had the most amazing family holiday here. Just returned yesterday and wish I was still there. The hotel is clean, staff friendly, gardens kept beautiful. Food is amazing I am vegetarian and found alot of food to eat. loved the fact they had children's cutlery,plates, bowls and cups (something i missed last year in Portugal). we travelled with 2 young children 3 years and 2 year old and there was plenty to keep them entertained. they really enjoyed the mini disco at the pirate ship and the entertainment in the evening. we all enjoyed the kids quiz at night and the park. The splash park is great and the pools are amazing. there's alot of other things for children to do too but mine never really wanted to participate. maybe they would if they were a year or two older. beach 10min walk with shops and restaurants/bars all close by. Harbour 25min walk away right of the beach where we booked a boat trip to formentor beach, brilliant trip out definitely recommend. We never walked left up the beach so not sure what's that way. Loved the fact people can't reserve sunbeds.. if they do they take them off and leave them in a pile if people don't go to their beds after a certain amount of time,so there was always lots of beds to take your pick over. which helped to have a lie in Also the drinks were nice lots of choice and in the evening in actual glasses was great husband loved the fact it was proper pints rather than the usual plastic small cups you usually get. I would also recommend going all inclusive as everything is in the hotel you really don't need to go out the hotel if you didn't want to. me and the husband did get a few mosquito bites luckily the kids didn't get any. I always use the skin so soft oil from Avon and never had issues before when using it but some reason I did get bitten here still. The only things I'd advise the hotel would be maybe cleaners cleaned rooms abit more or even just put fresh towels and check toilet rolls everyday would be good. our room was only cleaned properly once on day 8 of our 9 day holiday. towels changed probably every 2 or 3 but never really gave new loo rolls we just took them from the public toilets if needed also maybe having a trip a week to the alacarte restaurant would of been nice to break it up as we stayed 9 nights would been good to go into the 1st week and again in the last few days instead of just once in the whole 9 days. these are only minor updates they could do though the overall holiday was fantastic and just the absolute best for anyone with young families. We went as a family if 6, including 3 adults and 3 kids (6,4,&1) half board. We stayed mid October and had a interconnecting room (1 bed and studio). Really good accommodation, spacious and suited our needs well. Buffet breakfast and dinner were very good. Always something to suit all tastes. We used the pools everyday. They are a little cool but you get used to it and the kids loved the splash pool and the inflated pillow. Pool bar has a good selection for lunch. Shop on site was fine for basic needs, used the indoor pool, not heated, and there is a spa and gym. All staff were great and friendly. Kids entertainment was really good throughout the day. The kids play park is great with the bouncy castle. Maybe a little bit of work could be done to improve it as the it's so well used. Location is about 10 to 15min walk to can picafort beach. Its very walkable and the town has lots of shops and restaurants. Weather was sunny around 24 deg with one wetter day. We observed a number of families with 2 and 3 kids. It's a great hotel for larger families as this can be an issue with multiple kids in terms of room space and facilities. All in all would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to go back as a family!

We recently stayed at Zafilo Hotel in Majorca, and it was an absolute disaster. From the moment we arrived, the dirty entrance set the tone for our stay. The pools were freezing cold at 17 degrees – completely unusable. For context, the sea was a much more comfortable 23 degrees. The room was in desperate need of refurbishment. There was black mold in the shower, broken cupboards, and overall, it felt run down. Food was average at best, nothing to write home about. The only saving grace was the generally friendly staff, though Kasia stood out for all the wrong reasons. She was rude and unhelpful, the kind of person who will give you nightmares! Honestly, in the UK, this place wouldn’t even qualify for one star. Save your money and go someplace else. Trust me, it’s not worth it!

It’s really hard to rate this hotel. It’s a great hotel for kids. There’s the pools and the entertainment and kids club house, all of which are over exaggerated on their website. It’s October and way too cold to enjoy the swimming pool. Thankfully we were able to use the spa pool; however, there’s too much chlorine in the water so even sitting on the lounge chairs inside the room makes your eyes burn. Me and my children couldn’t stay in there long. The hallways are sometimes slippery due to mopping, even after it has dried, and I fell and slid a few times. There’s nothing in the fridge in the rooms, so bring your food or buy from the market, which really doesn’t have much in there and is overpriced (they oversell it on their site). Maria was the lady who welcomed us at the front desk and made us feel comfortable, but the other staff just looked so unhappy to be there or annoyed when you required them to remember to come take your drink order. I’ve been to other Zafiro hotels here in Mallorca and this one is below my expectations. Some of the staff that interacts with the guests do not speak English, so they get annoyed when you ask for something and they can’t understand what you’re saying. The dishes in the buffet restaurant, several times I found food with old dried food on them and had to find a clean one, glasses with soap running down them like someone just rushed from the dish washer to put them out there. The water from the can tasted like pool water. Also I find waiters laughing and talking with other waiters and avoiding people who need their drink orders taken. The food is bland. Even their “chocolate sauce” for pancakes is practically watered down Nutella, or brown water. The fruit there was good and sweet and desserts were delicious. The shower head sprayed anywhere but downward, and the air conditioning broke while we were there and had 3 nights sleeping in heat. Will we be coming back? No. It’s not worth it. If the staff was more friendly, that would make a big difference. But that’s a deal breaker for me. If they don’t want to be here, it doesn’t really make it so others want to be here. I will say, the rooms are spacious and the beds are so cozy. And I love their pillows. The Yzzy entertainers were so nice to the kids and made them feel excited to be a part of the show. That was nice to see. But all in all, not the best experience, especially compared to the other Zafiro hotels.

We went for 4 nights from 11th Oct. This was our first time to this Zafiro as we usually stay at the Alcudia Palace. The breakfast quality was excellent and same as the Alcudia hotel. The pools were great and the hotel very clean and the staff very friendly. Would recommend! I would not go all inclusive as there are plenty of restaurants nearby with more choice ☺️
