Rentalmar Salou Playa Family Suites

Enjoyed our stay in these Apartment which was clean and located really well, close to the beach, the strip and all amenities with a lovely pool area. There were a few essentials that were missing and when we made enquiries we were told we had to rent our Kettle, Iron and Toaster. No blankets (only two sheets per bed so it was a little chilly) and no towels which we also had to pay for. I think these essential items should have been supplied as part of the stay without having to be rented or paid for. I would recommend this place to stay but strongly recommend to the owners they add the essentials and supply some other necessary items such as to make the stay a little more comfortable.

Do not go here. This is the first time i've ever writen a review but the way me and fellow quests have been treated is appauling as my hole deposit has been kept without any reason as my room was left spotless and i have videos to prove it. when i was signing in other guests showed up to find they have no rooms for them and to just be told to deal with it and leave whilst they say rude sounding things in spanish so all of this has made me write this. ive not even mentioned the rooms being filthy with unknow hard stains on one bed and blood on the other aswell as a cockroaches and a constant clogged drain smell coming from the room. one of the security doors was also broken with tape holding it open all the time. overall the location was ok but because of the condition of the rooms and the unhelpful and rude staff i will never be returning again and i reccomend you dont either.

Absolutely disgusted with this company came with a family who booked 5 rooms all left €200 deposit bookings were not connected by any means all separate 1 of the rooms was left in a state they withheld 4 out of 5 deposits €100 euro each room and €200 from the room that was left in a state I’m fuming how can they penalise a completely different booking just because we have the same name my room was cleaner when I left then when I got there also was running alive with cockroaches

Arrived early 11am. Check in is not until 5pm. Not great first impression as no bathroom or secure room to get changed in. Was able to leave luggage in a locked room. Arrived back at 4.50PM to check in to find a massive Que to which was stood in for around half a hour until was finally called.Paid deposit and got keys to our room. Upon entry we find the apartment is spacious, Modern and clean. Fully equipped kitchen. No toaster or microwave though. View from balcony not great over a construction site. Washing machine and hairdryer also. The pool is a good size and plenty sun loungers. Pool opens at 11am. A small mini golf course aswell as a food truck which sells drinks, alcohol, slushies, burgers, waffles and so on. Good prices too. Location of the apartments is perfect. Right in the centre of everything. Literally 3 minutes walk to the beach. Can be loud at night but didn’t bother us at all. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here.

Don’t let yourself fooled by this “Hotel” . You’re only renting it for your stay. Keep in mind that YOU ARE CLEANING IT YOURSELF, BUYING TOILET ROLL, NO SUCH A BLANKET OR SO, YOU ARE PAYING TOURIST TAX 16,50€ . TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE HERE !!! Old technology as well. I have told them that water was dripping through my bathroom ceiling and they told me that my neighbor on the top has a shower and can’t do anything just to advise them. Very dirty apartment on arrival, we had to clean it, plus if you’re checking in/ out early or late you pay a tax of 30€. Swimming pool terrible with only few lounge chairs. I do NOT WANT TO IMAGINE the food in the canteen they’ve got here . 100% NOT RECOMMENDED unless you want a really cheap holiday where you don’t care where you stay, only just sleep and go.

These apartments are only suitable for younger people who are there to party. We travelled here as a group of 6 which included 3 children (ages 9, 5, 2) and 3 adults. We were not allowed check in until 5pm. This was particularly annoying on reflection as check out time is 10am sharp, and as we were leaving at 10am the cleaners were ushering us out the door. Cant understand why check in would be so late if the cleaners were so prompt to be there when checkout was happening. Apartments were small but modern. You need to rent additional utilities such as kettle and toaster. Beds are very uncomfortable and are all single ones. At no point during our week stay did a cleaner come in or towels were replaced. When we inquired about this we were told to wash our own towels. Air con is non existent. You need to have it on constantly with all windows and doors closed along with curtains drawn to feel it at all. Every morning there would be an overwhelming smell of sewage in the shower drain. We needed to put bleach in the drain every morning and run the shower for 15 minutes to help eliminate the smell some what. There is no sound proofing. Not ideal with young children. You could hear constant loud noise throughout the night of people coming home from their nights out. The same during the day. Unfortunately we had to asl our neighbours to keep it down on one occasion as the youngest child needed a nap and couldnt sleep with the noise of them. Not ideal having to ask people this on their own holidays. Every morning the staircases were littered from people from the night before. Several times they were covered in vomit. The pool is filthy. Only once was there a life guard on duty. A lot of younger people playing their music on full blast with speakers as well during the day. The biggest issue we occured was one of our doors got jammed, locking ny sister and her two young children in in the middle of the night. We woke to the smell.of cigarettes in the apartment which was coming from the apartment above. My sister tried to exit her room to check where the smell was coming from and noticed the door had locked itself. Maintenance was called at 4am and they were prompt however they could not unjam the door. They needed to kick the door down which was quite frightening for the children stuck inside the room. This also brought to our attention that there are no fire alarms in the room which is a huge health and safety concern. This ordeal was never acknowledged on our check out by staff. To top it off, we were charged to store our luggage for an hour as our flight was later in the afternoon.
