Hotel Best Cambrils

everything from the staff to the hotel, food pool and location was amazing! Definitely rent bicycles to get around and go for a cycle the scenery was amazing and so close to everything!! The staff were so helpful with transport to and from the airport which made it so relaxing would definitely return

We arrived on the 21st Sept for 2 weeks just missing the bad weather they had just had. Check in was quick, room was small but adequate. Located at the back and was a bit noisy from the kitchen and bin area but the view of the beach was good. Jet2 advertised 3 pools but we only saw one. Sunbeds quite close together but the self service bar was good. The food times were good. Always a good selection of food. The all inclusive bar in the dining room was great as we could get a bottle of water and wine with our lunch and dinner if we wanted. The location is misleading as the hotel is really between Cambrils and Salou but easy to get to both by bus which stopped outside. Cheap to travel, there is a bus office across the road to buy a bus card or book trips. Only cash or bus card on the buses. Little shops about or a 23 min walk to a big Mercadona and a Tabac. Entertainment in the evening was a bit naff though. Housekeeping were good. Our room was cleaned everyday and fresh towels supplied. There was 2 bottles of water in the fridge and a pepsi and fizzy orange which were topped up once. Sadly there wasn't any tea making facilities in the room. The only thing we weren't too keen on was breakfast was until 10am but the lady in the restaurant insisted on cleaning the coffee machines at 9.50am and turning them off and if you tried to use them she wasn't happy We had a relaxed 2 weeks with a few trips in between.

Short walk to Salou from the hotel, along the seaside. Enough choice to eat outside the hotel. Short drive from Reus airport. Although outside school holidays, it gets busy at the pool. Nevertheless enjoyed my stay at Best Cambrils. Best Maritim this year…

I recently stayed at Best Cambrils and while there were some positive aspects, there were also significant issues that affected our experience. The Good: The hotel itself is clean and well-maintained. Our room was a good size with a balcony, and having a fridge in the room was a nice bonus—even though we were on an all-inclusive plan. The snack bar served fresh food, which we appreciated, and the room service was reliable and convenient. The Bad: Unfortunately, the positive aspects were overshadowed by poor service and food safety concerns. My girlfriend became ill with what we strongly believe was food poisoning from the hotel’s food, as we only ate what was provided on the all-inclusive plan and took all necessary precautions such as drinking only bottled water. When we reported this to the manager, he dismissed our concerns without any apology or offer of assistance. Additionally, the pool tables at the hotel were problematic—they would take our money but didn’t have enough or the right pool balls. When we asked the bartender for help, he was extremely dismissive, claiming he was “just a bar man” and left us to resolve the issue ourselves. We overheard other guests complaining about the same staff member, but hotel employees denied knowing his name. Many guests seemed to be unwell during our stay. Due to my girlfriend’s illness, we avoided most of the hotel food and alcohol, sticking mostly to bread and chips that we knew were safe. Unfortunately, some of the vegetables served were moldy (we saw moldy tomatoes), and the meat was often raw, cold, or left out for too long (we took pictures of very dry-looking meat). On top of that, our room had a maintenance issue with a plug coming off the wall the very first night.

We booked this trip through TUI, and I have to say, the experience with them was excellent—smooth booking process, great communication, and everything went as expected on their end. The hotel itself is very clean, with lovely pool areas and excellent facilities—no complaints there. It’s a relaxing place to unwind and enjoy the sun. However, the service at the bar let things down. There’s an older gentleman working there who consistently served others before us, even when we’d clearly been waiting longer—this only seemed to happen to English guests, which was frustrating. The evening entertainment was also a letdown. It felt unorganised and low-effort most nights, which took away from the overall experience. Unfortunately, because of the service issues and lacklustre entertainment, I wouldn’t choose to return—even though the hotel itself has potential.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The hotel is lovely and spotlessly clean thanks to the hard working staff. The food choices were excellent and I'm sure there were options to suit every palette. The pool bar was always busy but we never had to wait long to be served thanks to the staff, especially Asmae who never seemed to stop working! A definite asset to the hotel. One minor point is that there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but we got our own small kettle which helped. The beach is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. A lot quieter than nearby Salou. I would definitely recommend this hotel, so much so we are going back later this year!
