AR Roca Esmeralda & Spa Hotel

Me asignaron una habitación doble con sala de estar, estuve cómoda y a mis anchas. Sobre la estancia del buffet tal vez ya le hace falta una renovación. Por lo demás, todo correcto.

Lo k no nos gustó es k la cafetería no abre x las mañanas y la cierran a las 12 x la noche

Just arrived back from 7 days. The rooms are basic, but very clean and a cleaner knocks on daily to offer to clean your rooms. With fresh bedding and towels. The pull out bed was a little uncomfortable but was for the children but due to the balcony being so low we preferred to swap with the other room being secure. Hair dryer didn't work or the air con which we should of mentioned.the balcony was spacious and lovely to sit on of an evening, entertainment is quite repetitive but do fabulous shows across the road for families. i wouldn't let those little things put you off the pool area is perfect for families with entertainment, pool bar ect breakfast and lunch we opted for has a selection and plenty to suit everyone. There are alot more spanish guests to english but we blended in. The beach is a stone throw away with plenty of restaurants. As a whole the hotel is extremely clean and they are very organised. We would return to this hotel we had a lovely holiday.

I have been here for a week now and am thoroughly enjoying the stay. The room is comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is tasty with plenty of choice. Calpe is a good place to stay for nature lovers; the Penal d’ifac and Las Salinas are full of natural beauty and interest. The coastline is stunning. I would return to this hotel. The only negative point is the lack of consideration by other guests, talking and coughing loudly and smoking on adjacent balconies ruins the ambience ( no fault of the hotel though).

The Hotel is in a great location.All the staff were friendly and helpful.Our room was cleaned every day, clean towels were left. There was a good choice of food, but never hot enough. Would definitely stay there again. The bus stops right outside the hotel, to take you to the old town.

Our first stay in the Esmeralda was in February and we decided to visit again in November…. We were not disappointed. We requested a high floor and double bed if possible and both requests were granted. We had a lovely room with separate seating area and a huge balcony. We arrived mid morning so our room wasn’t ready but our cases were stored securely and we were phoned as soon as the room was available. The hotel is located really close to the beach and some nice coastal walks and a little further to the shopping area, old town and tram and bus stations, but there is also a bus just outside the hotel if you don’t want the longer walk. Wi-Fi and safe deposit boxes are free and the state of the art lifts are amazing! We stayed on a half board basis. The food in the restaurant was good with a reasonably priced wine list and daily offers. The staff were amazing… both friendly and efficient….Eva took great care of us as well as all the other staff. Reception staff were very helpful and so patient as we practiced our Spanish…. They also spoke good English if we got stuck… Housekeeping staff were lovely and kept our room clean and tidy. Most of the guests were Spanish and slightly older age group. We joined in some of the line dance lessons in the afternoons with Claudia and had a lot of fun learning the Spanish line dance moves….. amazing how far a few words and bit of sign language goes…..and a big thank you to Claudia for helping to make our holiday such fun! There was entertainment every evening and live music three times a week which was good for out of season. Bar staff were lovely. We had an early departure flight so had to miss breakfast on our last day but were given an amazing feast to take to the airport with us. What we really liked was that everything wasn’t geared to English but we were made so welcome and included in everything…..so if you want a British hotel in the sun maybe not for you…but we loved it… please don’t change We certainly hope to visit again A big thank you to all the staff for a lovely holiday and hope to see you all again soon…..
