Pocinhobay

The best hotel in all the Azores. The atmosphere and character were something special. The room was our own building, beautifully decorated - the grounds and pool areas were serene and peaceful. This hotel is located right on the coast and a short drive from the city. This experience was one of our top highlights in our 17 day trip around the Azores. The owners were extremely helpful and accommodating. This is a one-of-a kind place and will always hold a special place in our travel memories.

You feel you’re inside a postcard when you stay at Pocinho Bay. We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting the island with the goal of climbing Pico. The location is absolutely unique, right by the water, near a natural pool, and with the most amazing views of Faial - the island opposite Pico. It is also located in an area that is protected and considered a world landmark - the pico vineyards, which are planted in between blocks of lava rocks and very very close to the sea. In the evening you can hear all the sea birds singing which is also a unique experience. The hotel is small and run by a super friendly and charming couple who will welcome you exceptionally well. Luisa was extremely helpful giving us tips of where to go for dinner or visit and about our hike to climb pico. The decoration is also very unique, with artefacts and photos from all over the world, collected by the owners themselves. The service is friendly and efficient. Anabela always available to help. Breakfast was excellent. The highlights for me were the eggs cooked on demand, the coffee, the homemade cake, the local cheese and the fruit salad. Overall our experience was excellent and we plant to be back when we visit pico again.

Magnifique propriété tenue par un couple très accueillant et sympathique, au cœur des vignes de Pico. Superbes espaces communs tout en se sentant seuls au monde si on en a envie. Accès direct à l'océan. Très bon petit déjeuner. Rien à redire, superbe endroit.

Não poderia ter feito melhor escolha. A localização em frente à piscina natural, o charme de ficar hospedado em uma casa de arquitetura típica do Pico, o bom gosto da decoração do quarto e áreas comuns, a qualidade dos produtos de banho/higiene, a qualidade das roupas de cama e o excelente café da manhã. Tudo PERFEITO. Não posso deixar de citar a gentileza de Luisa, a responsável pelo lugar. Nos recebeu de forma extremamente atenciosa, educada e prestativa. O carinho com que recebe os hóspedes é um diferencial. Além de todo seu time de apoio. O local ainda dispõe de uma piscina incrível, possui suas próprias vinhas plantadas de maneira tradicional da Ilha do Pico, o que te permite ter contato de perto com a cultura dos vinhos do Pico. É possivel ainda provar vinhos excelentes feitos a partir dessas uvas ali colhidas. A noite foi possivel apreciar o espetáculo dos voos e ouvir o som peculiar dos Cagarros, ave símbolo dos Açores. Sensacional.
