Elba Carlota Beach & Golf Resort

Very clean & tidy hotel & resort. Nice grounds and nice walk way directly down to the beach. The hotel had a games room, an evening entertainment venue (usually starting at 9pm) and a fab kids disco in another area (from 8:30pm). Always plenty of room and not too busy the week we went in these venues. We had a bath with an over bath powerful shower, always with plenty of hot water. All staff at the hotel, resort & airport were welcoming & friendly, this made a real difference to us feeling relaxed and comfortable staying here. Kids club - we were able to just go and do our own thing e.g. use the soft play, arts & crafts (our autistic 7 year old wouldn’t have been able to stay on his own especially when they were off doing activities, in particular at the pool). No queues at the restaurant whatever time we went. Always plenty of seats at the restaurant & tables always being cleared Food hot, plenty of choice and ‘safe’ options too. We were 1/2 board, you get a drinks list when you go into the restaurant for your evening meal (not for brekki as all the drinks were included then), a staff member takes your drinks order(s) and adds to the list to use as your bill you take to the till to pay on your way out. Being 1/2 board we were able to book one a la carte reservation for the week. The only thing we didn’t realise, the a la carte was only open Monday-Weds (our stay was Sat-Sat), we went to book Weds to find we missed out going there :( Cool-warm pools, not freezing. Meaning our son did get to enjoy them most days unlike a lot of past 3-4 star hotels we’ve stayed at where the pools have always been freezing even in super hot countries! Super location, right next to a lovely quiet beach, with lovely promenade walks. Market (open Sat & Tues) 15-20 mins walk away. Only 15-30mins from the airport (depending on how many hotel stops on route). It didn’t bother us being on an air flight path, the planes weren’t that noisy. A couple of minutes away from some shops, restaurants and a supermarket. A playzone including; bowling, pool, air hockey & arcade games (you need to go to the machine to get a min 5 Euro card to use on the arcade machines). Also, a little kids pay for adventure park which included: trampolines, bouncy castle slide, go karts and a carousel (12 Euro for 30mins but they let us stay longer & come back if not too busy). Our visit to the zoo was amazing. Bus pick-up outside the hotel every morning (9:30am during our stay) 5 Euros per person return. Weather - I think we were a little unlucky the week we went (12-19th April 2025), it didn’t really hot up until late afternoon. However, we were mainly out on walks in the mornings and it was still warm. Just needed a jumper or a jacket to take the edge off the wind. We knew friends that visited a few weeks before and even in Jan with hotter weather (up to 28 degrees in Jan!). Would highly recommend this hotel & resort :)

Would highly recommend you go and see the animation shows when staying at the Elba Carlota. Just been to see their Lion King show this evening. What an amount of hard work must go in to create such a slick performance. A talented bunch of performers. Thank you

Stayed here with a friend from 16th-23rd February and enjoyed every minute of it. •The hotel itself is very clean and very well maintained both inside and outside. The ground and the pool areas are spotless. •The staff are absolutely amazing and work tirelessly throughout the day and evening. •Shout out to the animacion team who kept the kiddies and adults amused throughout various times of the day. •Evening entertainment through the week was varied, anything from singers to acrobatic acts. •Food is great, I can’t possible imagine why anyone would go hungry here as the choices are plentiful. Self serve coffee and soft drinks are available, or wine/beer is on request and will be brought to your table. •Snack bar near the pool area has a selection of foods- burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and pastries. Probably more suited to the kiddies, but handy if you don’t want to go into the restaurant for lunch. •The bars have a good selection of drinks and a cocktail menu. •Pool are has plenty sun loungers for everyone. Didn’t really notice too many reserved loungers. Overall this was a really enjoyable stay and I would 100% return here.

We have just returned from a week’s stay at this hotel. The hotel was spotlessly clean. Our room was on the 5th floor and had a side sea view. The room was spacious and comfortable. There was a mini fridge but it was empty. The food was ok, nothing special. Sometimes you had to queue to get in the restaurant. There was a snack bar by the pool which was open during the day, however when we looked in here there wasn’t much choice at all. In the evening the lobby bar was the main place to go for a drink. There was entertainment sometimes in the theatre and sometimes in the Sinatra bar downstairs. We didn’t go to the theatre so can’t comment on that, we did go to the Sinatra bar a couple of times and it was quite a good atmosphere. The entertainment was ok. The hotel is in a great spot with a lovely beach to the front across the little promenade. There is a very modern shopping complex next door. The promenade leads to a lovely little harbour and there are shops, restaurants and bars around this area. If we had a negative it was that our room card key stopped working three times, so we had to go to reception to get it reprogrammed. This was very annoying. Reception staff didn’t even offer an apology. We did enjoy our stay, but think a week is enough.

Very nice hotel. Staff friendly and excellent service. Good location. I found the food and drink service very good indeed. We came to stay end of January 2025 for a little winter sun. Stayed at nearby group hotel previously so tried this one for a change. Really enjoyed our stay.

Very clean and pleasant hotel ,staff all exceptional. Especially WILLIAM in the main indoor bar. Pools and pool bar excellent Inc all staff , food was reasonable/ good. Waiting staff very good and efficient but friendly also ... excellent Christmas decor in reception was awesome... We would definitely use this hotel again and would highly recommend it to anyone..thanks for a lovely holiday... regards Jimmy s ( Scotland )
