Hotel President

Stayed at President Hotel during Ironman 2024. Can’t really fault the place at all. Hotel is very clean, comfortable and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, big enough for a bike box and to build up and take down the bike. Also had a mini fridge to fit in drinks and nutrition. Bathroom modern enough with a really good shower. Rooms cleaner really well each day. Comfy beds, quiet in the evening/night and good air con in the room. Food was brilliant, especially considering I couldn’t eat anything that may upset the stomach. Really good choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Plenty of salad, bread, fruit and meat options. Hotel also puts on a 5:30am breakfast on day of the event. Bar is good and cheap and draws reasonable sized crowd in the evenings. Pool table there too and evening entertainment each night. Good storage facilities also for bike boxes when checking out. Hotel is close to main busy area of town, about 5mins walk to main street and about 10mins from finish line for Ironman. I can’t imagine anyone wouldn’t think they are getting extremely good value when booking here, we would certainly come back. 5/5 experience.

We were very happy with our stay at this hotel. The hotel and pools were nice (though we didn’t use the pools, as we spent most of our time exploring the area and visiting the seaside). The staff were extremely professional, and the food was a pleasant surprise. For a 3-star hotel, the meals were fresh, delicious, and of a high standard. Lunch and dinner offered new options daily, which was a lovely touch. The rooms are a bit basic, but they had everything we needed. I can’t understand why some people leave negative reviews. If you’re expecting a 5-star experience at a 3-star hotel, that’s unrealistic. This hotel should be reviewed for what it is—a 3-star establishment that performs at a very high standard. With more luxurious rooms, it could easily be rated 4 stars. Overall, we had a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend this hotel!

(Very) big hotel, lots of people all around (strongly recommended to go for breakfast before 9 am - med/low quality). Rooms are overall good, mind that an open air discotheque is just in front of it (no way to sleep with open windows). There are some payment parking slot in front of it. Located at 10 min walk from pedestrian area of Calella

Hotel was in a great location with everything walking distance the hotel itself is very basic and boring. Entertainment is standard nothing going on in the day apart from a small water work out in the morning the food is ok if you want to eat salad with fish and pork everyday very poor choices same thing all the time and you don't even get the basic orange juice with your meals you have to pay for your bottled drinks. Food is not sign posted either just a small picture of a pig or a fish above each dish .Definitely Avoid if your ENGLISH I visited with my friend and the way people looked at us all the time was like we where aliens or something they have no time for English people at all !!

I’ll start off by saying the hotel is a 3 star as it says online. It has the things you need in the room like clean beds, mini fridge, mirror, good bathroom, balcony and a TV, nothing fancy but it’s decent. However, the safe in the wardrobe area is €3 a day for a key to lock your things away which I find quite unfair as people shouldn’t have to pay to keep their belongings safe. In terms of the food, the choices are extremely poor for the evening and there is a huge lack of variety, especially if you’re bringing children, although breakfast is good. The pool is great, can’t fault it, it is clean and there are lots of sun-beds for everyone, along with a lovely pool bar. The hotel has many friendly staff including the nice bartenders and servers in the restaurant. However, this hotel seriously needs to check who they are hiring as one of the chefs on his day off sat at the bar with me and my friend, taking pictures of her mini skirt and winking at us the whole time even though we had told him to stop, to later on the next day find him cooking at breakfast🤢 The area itself has many good qualities like the supermarket which is 2 mins across the road, the nightclub and multiple bars right next to the hotel and it is only a short walk to the beach through a pretty town. On the other hand, I definitely would not recommend coming here if you’re looking for a girls holiday aged 18-25 as the men in the area are absolutely vile. We were grabbed on the street, whistled at, shouted at and made to feel uncomfortable the whole time we stayed here, even just walking to the supermarket for a drink. However, the beach is beautiful and there are many shops to enjoy.

Great value hotel. Located within a 5-6 minutes walk down to the beach with an underpass for the road. A supermarket directly opposite and an Aldi around 5 minutes away. Lots of nice cafes, independent souvenir shops and what look like bars around too. The hotel itself is well kept, clean and tidy, entertainment some evenings and the clientele was older - there was a hotel nearby full of teens / louder partying guests so we were glad to have avoided that and chosen a quieter hotel. There is a school located next door but it was only noticeable when kids were on break. The pool has plenty of loungers even on a busy day, it's not heated but warm enough with a small shallow pool for younger children. There was a lifeguard on duty for most of the day. The room was small, on first impressions a bit on the older side, but the beds were very comfy (firmer) and the bathroom looked to have recently renovated and was quite smart. There's some storage and a balcony also which was nice to look out over the pool. The food (full board) was excellent. Not a huge variety but as vegan guests we had varied food each day and were more than happy with the salads (both mixed and separated) and the good selection of fruits. Lots of cooked hot meat dishes and sliced meats & hams, also lots of fish including some HUGE prawns! The coffee was nice in the morning and they had Soya / Oat milk available on request. Drinks not included at noon or in the evening but they were well priced. Would definitely return and recommend.
