Hotel Club Cala Romani

We went on holiday in September for a week. I was a bit worried reading the awful reviews especially about food. We were pleasantly surprised I must admit. I can't imagine what are people eating at home, but there was plenty of food and absolutely edible tasty. Everyone was able to find something to eat. Pork shank falling off the bones soft and crispy was our favourite. Lots of potatoes cooked differently, sides, puddings. What do people expect of a 3 star hotel? I bet those who criticised never cooked a tasty meal. Staff hard working, place is clean, sea 5 min walk. Absolutely loved it! Ignore the moaners! Very affordable price as well.

Please don't dwell on bad reviews on here. I feel compelled to write now whilst halfway through our holiday. It's brilliant here! I personally have a background of working in the travel industry in previous years. Hotel is lovely. Pool area great. All clean and tidy. Room brilliant big apartment for family of 5. Air conditioning good enough. Staff are friendly and a smile and please and thank you will be gratefully received and reciprocated from Staff. We held a door open last night for about 20 fellow guests to walk through, with no one saying thanks or even looking at us. Drinks: plenty and queues can look big at times but go down quickly. Food: were really enjoying it. Lunch does seem better choice than evening meals but meat is delicious and plenty of options for us. Never had to wait for a table so far. Both snack bars good too. Entertainment: We've gone into the lovely town area so far after tea. Brilliant range of shops and bars very reasonably priced. Then back to hotel club area for night cap so not seen the entertainment but bar has been good enough for us. Again can seem big queues for drinks but quickly goes down. Day time entertainment: yoga, aqua aerobics, games, waterpolo. Sunbeds: people are reserving even up to 20 beds a time at 0630 in the morning. But, Hotel bring out plenty more. We've been down after 10 and got beds still. Not many shaded areas though, Hotel sells parasols 18euros. Standard sunbeds, no more uncomfortable than any other plastic sunbed. Onsite shop good but much cheaper in town. Private transfer was very smooth but to be fair, the coach arrived only about half hour after us. So far so good. Very happy. I had been a nervous wreck with reviews on here and some on Facebook too. Please don't stress. It's on par with any other all inclusive we've stayed in in the med. Maybe even better as quick service and not overcrowded around pool. If you've booked already enjoy and take the negative reviews with a pinch of salt.

Clean, bright & spotless apartments, just be aware that all apartments have a shower over the bath - my husband walks with 2 sticks so not easy getting in a bath, asked the manager & he said only a few walk in showers & they was in the hotel rooms. We managed until the lifts broke down 3 times in 4 days (we were on 4th floor), saw the female manager who gave us a free upgrade to pool view ground floor (really grateful). Plenty going on, pools great, plenty of choice of well cooked food, little town just 5 mins walk away
