Viva Cala Mesquida Resort & Spa

Perfect resort for families with children. We stayed at the main part of the hotel, the apartment was with a partial sea view and a balcony, there was a small kitchen, which is very practical with kids. The hotel has multiple pools, we used mainly the one with the pirate boat and a smaller pool close to the beach. It was quieter, had comfortable sun beds and good coffee at the pool bar. The main restaurant had good choice of tasty food that changed topic every night. However, we were very dissapointed with the a la carte restaurant Bella vita, that had nothing in common with Italian food. There is a well-equiped gym at the hotel. If you wish to run, there is really only one option - the road (or some very steep trails). The beach is located just under the hotel, but you have to climb a few steps. The water was crystal clear and very refreshing. The beach is moderately crowded, but we only stayed here around 30 mins every day for a swim. Overall we had a very nice stay at this hotel and would definitely come back again.

We had a great experience staying at Exclusive Club with my mum and my kids (7 years and 3 years) The children enjoyed the kids' activities with the very friendly hotel staff, the food was delicious, access to the sea was excellent, and the room was clean. We had a really nice holiday.

We stayed in the selection club and it was perfect for taking our 87 year old father. The beach is beautiful, there is the option of using steps or ramp to gain access to the beach where the water is crystal clear, warm, sandy and easily accessible for my dad with limited mobility. The complex is immaculate, the staff were all superb and helped with any needs we had. Jenny at La Terraza was incredibly attentive at meal times and the food was fabulous. We hope to return again next year.

Had a great mini break at this hotel. The staff were unbelievably kind and helpful especially in accommodating our elderly father. Special thanks to the staff in La Terraza,in particular Jenny, who looked after us with such care. We will return!

We loved our stay at this resort. We stayed AI and booked a standard room for our 3 and 9 year old. We usually have a fold out bed for one of the children in the master room and the other child on the sofa bed in the lounge. Unfortunately this was NOT feasible as the rooms are tiny! We upgraded with an additional cost of £650. Our new room Royal Terrace apartment with a sea view was fantastic and it was definitely worth the upgrade BUT this was not necessarily an option financially for everyone so please take this into consideration when booking. The standard rooms are fine for a family with ONE child but 2 children or a baby in a cot would NOT have been enjoyable as either there wasn't any circulation space for a cot or the capacity for a fold out bed. Its great to see the hotel are making efforts to upgrade. The new facilities are lovely and a wonderful edition that the children loved! Hopefully the rooms and communal areas will also get a uplift over the next 12 months . The kids club staff are great, the children adored them. The resort is maily aimed at under 8s id say with limited activities for over 8's if you are not sporty. My children whom love to make friends really struggled as there wasn't many English visitors and the couple that were there had young children (under 5). The resterants are not great but I hear the terrace is lovely but wasn't included with a jet 2 booking. The buffet resterant i liked though it was VERY repetitive and we craved variety and maybe some tapas!!! The beach is down 117 steps so something to note if you have access issues or a buggy. The bay is gorgeous and waters crystal clear. The beach bar is NOT included in the AI package nor are the sun loungera which is disappointing as I think basic drinks should be. A great holiday and I would recommend to friends with a young family BUT I'd definitely upgrade to a bigger room.

I loved the hotel overall. I was very satisfied with the food and the bars. Although i would have loved to see something like popcorn or cups in the pool bar. The rooms were fine but a problem i hade there was that if you were a family of four two people hade to sleep on the couch in every type of room. I loved the sea access and the pool was over my expectations and was good even though it was on the smaller side.
