Sol Cala d'Or

Staff very friendly and helpful we had a ground floor apartment which l asked for when booked holiday room was lovely n clean pool area spotless and very relaxing bar staff friendly n helpful had a lovely cocktail every afternoon they new what one l was having after first day the cleaning staff very pleasant a very enjoyable and relaxing stay for myself and husband which was much needed

We stayed for two weeks on the first floor in 227, which has a view overlooking the pool. We arrived before midday & couldn't check in until 3 pm. Sergio was very helpful & tried to get our room ready asap and advised that in the meantime, we were welcome to leave our bags in the luggage room & make use of the facilities, which after a very early flight was most welcome. The whole complex is cleaned to a very high standard & is perfectly situated for beaches, restaurants, supermarkets, and buses. The breakfasts are fresh with a good selection of both hot & cold choices. It was my birthday during our stay & I was given a bottle of cava & cake, which was a lovely surprise. All the staff are very friendly & so cheerful, but we would like to say a special thanks to Hugo for his Spanish lessons & to Javier for all his efforts to ensure that a slight issue with a pizza on our first day didn't overshadow our holiday. If we ever return to Cala D'or we would 100% stay here again & will recommend you to all our family and friends. A very big thank you for all the hard work you do & the effort you all put into making sure people have a good holiday.

The apartments are clean and comfortable, the pool is really nice. A good size and very well maintained. The location is close to both Cala D’Or centre and Cala Gran beach so it’s location is great. The only downside for us, was that the location of our apartment was right at the junction of the lifts and stairs, therefore all the traffic went past us at all times of day and night. Because of the building design, the tiled corridors were very echoey so any activity in the corridors, footsteps, chatting, wheeling luggage etc, was really loud. We’re not light sleepers by any means but the constant noise all day and night, meant we didn’t get one full nights sleep for the whole of our stay. Sadly, not the relaxing holiday we’d hoped for.

Just back from a 5 day break with my daughter where we stayed at the lovely Sol Cala D’Or apartments. Fantastic accommodation - brilliant location, friendly staff, spotlessly clean room lovely pool bar and lovely balcony area. Loved the pool - the only slight thing is that the pools beds are very close together (but I understand this as I had read in previous reviews difficulty in getting sunbeds in high season although we never had this issue). I would 100% return to these apartments and will definitely be recommending them to friends and family. Thank you for a brilliant time.

My only advice if you are booking this place is that if you have young children who may want to sleep early, maybe ask for a room on the side that does not sit nearest to the Eden bar. Apart from this the hotel was absolutely beautiful and really exceeded expectations. The staff made us feel really welcome. It was one of our parties birthdays whilst we was there and they left him a card, cake and cava to say happy birthday which was a really nice touch. Rooms cleaned every 2 days, it is near everything you could possibly need. The food at the bar is good for lucky, breakfast is reasonable. Never any struggle to get a sunbed which was really good, even as a party of 9 we always managed to get one and that was not reserving beds and getting out at around 11am. Attached pics of rooms, very clean and every amenity you could possibly need. Air conditioning was a god send Definitely would stay again, whole family loved.

Wow! What a wonderful find these apartments were. It was our third time to Cala dor, but first to these apartments and we will absolutely being staying again, infact already booked to come back next year. I was worried after reading some reviews, but we didn't experience any issues. We arrived early and were greeted by happy smiley faces who already seemed to know who we were. The room wasn't quite ready but we were guided to where we could leave our luggage and get something to eat. I'd requested a low floor room as I have mobility issues and also a celebration package for my daughters birthday and our anniversary. Both requests were delivered beautifully. We had a ground floor apartment that was straight onto the pool. The rooms were on the small side for our family of 4 (17 and 14 year old) but it's a base for us and we managed fine. The bathroom was beautiful. If there had been a little more storage space the room would have been perfect but we managed to squeeze everything into the one wardrobe. The pool is wonderful and we never had an issue with sunbeds. We even managed to get them at 2pm after spending the morning exploring the resort. The photo I've added was taken at 11am and there's loads of free sunbeds. There were some ignorant families reserving beds then going off to the beach for the day but like I said, there was never an issue for us getting some. I can't praise the staff enough. Everyone worked so hard and with a smile on their face. Everything is immaculate and the cleaning team do a great job. Food and drink from the pool bar is great. And reception staff were all so friendly and welcoming. The best for us was it was so peaceful. No noisy entertainment around the pool or on a night. There's plenty of places locally that provide entertainment if you want it but it was good to come back to a peaceful place. If you are considering booking, do it. You won't be disappointed unless you enjoy noisy, busy, active holidays.
