Cairo Castle Hostel

This is my third time in this hostel.When I first stayed this hostel its name was Isis.My two stay was fine , I also meet manager of hotel at this time ,He is very helpful respectful guy.However this time my stay was a little bit disappointed for me.Firstly this hostel very central near tahrir ,Egyptian museum and alot restaurants very near by walking.The nearest metro station sadat was closed during my trip ,I dont know exact reason ,I think it was temporary.Area safe ,there is also alot of mini grocery and car spare parts sellers.Hostel is in Maaroof Tower in Arabic Burj Maarof ,Hostel is 16 floor.When I first arrived hostel ,I was shooting gate and reception with my camera.Lady at reception said me what did you do ????? ,I was shocked .What Have I done ??? She was very rude.I think she has got a sensivity about video or photo.However i didn't know that ,I suddenly entered.This is common premises and hotel.If there is such policy hotel must put a signage please dont take photo or video of staff ,premises or lady at reception firstly she had to say welcome our hostel and smile say politely ,please dont take my photo or video.Then during checkin I said her Madam ,She said me Im not madam ,Im 21 years old ,this behavior also very rude ,I was bored only I have said I dont know you are madam or lady or married.Hostel rooms needs serious maintenance,beds collapsed and there is no heater.Breakfast very basic ,But this is normal this kind if accomodation.Cairo castle hostel was my favorite Hostel in Cairo.Another time i'm not sure if I'll stay on my next trip

Castle Hotel is the best place to discover Cairo! Thank you for everything. It felt like home to me. I was in 8 different hotels in Cairo on my tour: castle hotel is now my family and my choice no1. I know where to go to on future trips: Castle Hotel :) The hotel is located in the 16th floor, so you have the best view you can find. You can see so far. You can see the city, the Nile, plus a little bit of a pyramid :) Best traffic connection because ramsis street. Shops 1 minute walk. Abu tarek koshari 5 minute walk, river Nile 5 minute walk. The staff is amazing. Friendly, always willing to help, welcoming, discrete. It’s a very nice vibe up there. The noise of the city far away. Only the sound of the city whispers when you go to sleep. Like music. Very relaxing. Next time I book an extra night just to enjoy the view. It’s just so vibrant there and you feel the energy of the city. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you for everything! See you friends! It’s not the ritz, but it’s my favorite stay in cairo (and we slept in St Regis hotel too!) we will always come back. Thank you for the great happy time!

Ubicación muy buena en en centro del Cairo, en el piso 16 fácil de encontrar, el personal atento pero el desayuno no es lo que esperábamos para el precio que ofrecen. El baño no tiene cortina y se empapa completamente. Sugerencia: mejorar el desayuno o bajar el precio a 20 euros. Cortina en el baño porque hay que usar toallas para detener el agua que puede ir a parar al cuarto.

Nous avons passé une nuit dans cet hôtel et nous en sommes contents. Effectivement l extérieur de l immeuble, son entrée et l ascenseur font peur lorsque l'on arrive mais arrivée au 15eme étage on a un super accueil et une vue impressionnante sur le Caire. Les chambres sont propres et le petit déjeuner est inclus, on peut se rendre au musée, il y a plein de restaurants autour et nous nous en sommes fait conseiller 2 qui étaient très bons et également très peu chers . Nous avons pu nous rendre à la gare de Ramsès en 20mn a pieds pour acheter nos billets, c est donc très rapide en taxi. L aéroport est a environ 30mn en taxi, l hôtel peut organiser un transfert pour vous, ce sera un peu plus cher mais vous êtes sur que le chauffeur saura trouver votre hôtel car il est fréquent que les taxis aient du mal à trouver les différents hôtels au Caire et a guizeh sauf ceux très connus.. Le seul bémol pour nous qui sommes non fumeurs est que le salon qui est aussi l entrée de l hôtel est fumeur
